what i don't get if the VS bras and panties are all so fired great, why do those poor girls in the ads squirm and wriggle so much.
they can't seem to hold still at all. makes me think that whole clothing line is mighty uncomfortable.
then Bob Dylan shows up in an ad claiming he's sick of love and just adds to the general discomfort. i mean he's an old guy with plenty of miles on him -- what's he doing with her in that fancy hotel room.
don't want to know.
how 'bout that new improved Garritan Orchestra products?

One of the principal programmers for Garritan is Tom Hopkins - a first-call session trumpeter. I'd imagine that the big band product will do for brass what GOS was to orchestral strings.
The Stradavari Solo Strings project is one that I've been asking about for some time. I got an early peek at a video demo and it was astonishing - not only the realism, but the fact that the performance could be created in real time.
I've tried to get more information on how they are able to create such smooth transitions from one dynamic layer to another - and one articulation style to another, but got put off until the NAMM show for more info. I'll be cavorting from booth to booth in Hall A during the show, so it will be interesting to say the least.

Gary has posted this demo video of the Stradivari Solo Strings on the NorthernSounds Garritan forum :
www.garritan.com/mp3/StradivariLarge.mov
It’s a 10 MB QuickTime movie. Quite impressive, those who didn’t like the Synful solo violin vibrato might enjoy this one more. Apparently it uses a sampling/physical modelling hybrid technology.
