You mean like you're doing right now? I tell you what I wouldn't do Kriminal is get banned from KVR three times like you have and come back to engage in the same behavior that got me banned in the first place. Dave do you realize we've been at each other for 25 years? Two and a half decades. What have we accomplished after all those years?
You weren't even part of the conversation here but you had to stick your nose in it just to take a shot.
I guess I should be flattered that you follow what I post so closely but quite frankly it's just creepy.

Since Steve decided to rage lock his other thread about installing Rapid I'll post here. Because I like him so much I went ahead and took the time out of my day to see if I could reproduce the same issue he was having and did a fresh install of Rapid on another Windows 11 system and the process went flawlessly. No need to run as Admin, no problems at all, very easy task.
So the problem either lies with Cubase which I do not own so can not test or PEBCAK.
So to summarize, Rapid can still be installed, still be authorized, and still works just fine at least on Windows 11, can't speak for Mac since I don't own one. What the future holds no one knows but that's the state of affairs at this moment in time.

Even in its current state i still think Rapid is one of the best big synths out there. The 8 layer system with bus sending just makes it so easy to build anything you want. Its granular system is the easiest i have found to use and the resynthesis feature is a lot of fun.
Figured id bring some positivity to this thread
Im still hoping we get the next big update.

I have a ton of good memories with this synth, for sound design and tracks. If I'd still be releasing banks every month for this thing if it was feasible. That's how much I love it, better than avenger by far. Ultra reminds me of it a bit, in terms of solid analog intuitiveness to get a nice sound, but don't think it has all those features.

It is a fantastic synth. It really should get more love than it does.MattLeschuck wrote: Tue Apr 28, 2026 1:45 pm Even in its current state i still think Rapid is one of the best big synths out there.
In what way? If I could only own one, I know which one I would choose as an instrument, support issues not considered.

I have both..
For me I prefer the sound of Avenger; it inspires me..
Rapid reminds me of Zebra 2 and Korg's Trinity/Triton.. that is by itself, I don't play it and go wow, but they fit nicely in tracks with other instruments/synths.. For me it is easier to mix, but no wow factor.
I can't take out support/confidence in further developing, and sound packs available, out of my equation... I don't use synths in new projects that I don't have confidence will be supported for awhile... (yes nothing in life is guaranteed)... so for this Avenger wins hands down.
What Rapid has over Avenger for me is firstly, cpu usage.. I have no idea how they do it, but it is like Sylenth in terms of cpu usage, that is unbelievably low for the quality of sound.
And I much prefer the GUI of Rapid.. On my 23 inch HD screen, Avenger always seems cramped and I wish you could, like in Omnisphere, enlarge specific modules as you work on those sections... Rapid doesn't give me that cramped feeling.

I think it's possible to separate the sound and function of a synth from the company behind it. Granted I don't reach for Rapid as much as I used to because I have Avenger and Nexus 5. Part of that is no doubt faith in the future of each option.
But Rapid is still a great synth if we take it on sound and function alone and not considering any other factors involving the company. I use it for more analog type sounds since it can be looked at as eight, three Osc synths in one. Nexus 5's and Avenger's ever growing list of sample libraries make them more suited for sample based sounds in my opinion but Rapid is very capable in that department as well especially if one has or makes their own samples. I like Avenger's ability to stack multiple samples sets on a single Osc and of course Nexus 5 is a nearly unlimited beast now.
CPU doesn't factor in here and while the Rapid GUI is more straight forward I don't have a problem with Avenger or Nexus' GUIs or workflow.
Anyway I love having all of them in my collection.

I like rapid as I said, it's intuitive. The pieces work intelligently naturally through exploration that doesn't break flow. The fact that three oscillators turned on via saw all stack up for a bass without phase and sounds fuller is a nice "subtle" touch a sound designer would do. Avenger is good too, many other synths are good, but some just have that gel factor, rapid, dune, ultra, and afew others.

What sets Rapid apart from the rest of the multi engine plugins? I remember demoing it a long time ago and it seemed good but nothing stood out.
