Airport lounge is a place for lot of music. Planes running on the tarmac add to the various kind of muzak being played around. It could be from the security staff, the passengers, elevators, coffee shop, pagers, luggage conveyor, security cubicle, transport vehicles, walkie talkie, staff announcements etc add to the pulsating atmosphere of the lounge. Combined it all to give it a musical form. VST KERN, YANGQIN, LASER BLADES. THE TRUMPET and DRUMS are FROM THE SYNTH.

Well this one should be suitably irritating as a bit of an ear-worm when on occasional repeat along with similar stuff. I had a bit of a struggle to get to presentable in time so it's rather short - probably just as well!
You'll no doubt be totally unsurprised that it's 100% Yoshimi softsynth :)

It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

I have a certain weakness for bossa nova (Jobim), exotica (Esquivel) and sophisticated easy listening (Bacharach) and started out very ambitiously. Lack of time and talent led to drastic measures: copy paste and editing my first takes into a 3-minute piece. It was fun, and I learnt something along the way. For instance how muzak ("good" muzak) is very linear, constantly moving, but smoothly, almost unnoticeably so. Also that there's a lot of clever musicianship behind that bland sound.

BTW: the image on the cover is my own, taken on the night before submission. I had just finished the track before a trip to a local cocktail bar, and of course I had to drink something suitably old school, kitschy and fun: a daiquiri.
