I almost bought this...saved by my trusty PSP42 once again 8) Sometimes a delay is what a track needs instead of a verb

Yes,it's been that way for a while now,but what I just noticed recently was that only "Stereo Room" is availible in PC VST format, while the other 2 flavors "Room Reverb" and "Plate Reverb" are not.Not to mention Princetons emu of Ursa Majors Space Staion.

Unfortunately, they have no plans of releasing a non-PACE plug. Only the demo will be offered this way. Lame.

Can't wait to try out UAD's plate verb when my card arrives!

all we are sayin' - let's give pace a chance!

That's the one that ended my desire for the Princeton.
Thou nothing sounds like the Princeton
if you hear the Plate 140 you can't live without it.

hello. A read earlier that the 2016 won't work in SX unless you check old host behaviour.

I am using SX 2.2 and there is no option to check old host behaviour, and the 2016 will not work. Or to be precise, it loads, but totally cuts any sound directed to it. Why is this?

Begs a question too, why should we need to use old host anyway, this is a new plug, and as SX is one of the big three hosts, surely this plug should be compatible?

Oh man, wait till you put the EMT 140 on acoustic guitars and drums. Like Andrew said, this killed my urges to plunk down the cash for the 2016. Damn, I still want the 2016 though since I'm a total reverb/delay slut!

Those are old news. Version 1.01 solved that problem. The demos posted at the Princeton's web work just fine in SX now.

Huh? SX 2 has old host behavior. I also reviewed it in SX 2.2 without any issues whatsoever. :?

Princeton Digital released just a few days ago an update for their VST Stereo Room. Now it doesn't crash Ableton Live 4 anymore :)

i wonder if it doesnt crash logic no more now? perhaps i can even use it without bluescreens!! :hyper:

Post

I complained them about the crashing a couple of times and they informed me by e-mail that the update is now available on their website. I downloaded it and voila! It works now! :D

I was recently considering purchasing the princeton digital reverb because apparently it got many great reviews. however, the reverb is pretty old, is it any good nowadays compared to actual reverbs such as CSR?

Post

pretty old???? would say that ;) the stereo room is "still" one of the best reverbs out there....
