Are you talking about the startup or export sound?SideChainKid wrote: Thu Feb 19, 2026 8:56 pm ‘That FL sound’ like orange clip is trying to do. It’s pretty signature for urban music imo.

Iirc it’s their soft clipper sound, both in their channels and on the master. They have a certain sound that’s pretty much industry standard for urban type beats. It’s especially beneficial for 808 heavy drums etc. Orange clip comes close but in a test it doesn’t null fwiw.Hipster Bales wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 5:08 pmAre you talking about the startup or export sound?SideChainKid wrote: Thu Feb 19, 2026 8:56 pm ‘That FL sound’ like orange clip is trying to do. Not exactly my can of Coke lol
When you put it on the master, it can oversaturate it or cause unnecessary clipping, which is what an experienced producer wouldn't want (I'm not as experienced as you guys but, I'm a fast learner given that I'm a teenager)

Yeah, I tried other DAWs as well, but I stuck with FL because the UI and stock synths are easy to learn in my opinionskarvika wrote: Thu Feb 19, 2026 9:59 pm Spending a day in a different DAW made me really appreciate FL's arrangement view.

Plus one for stock synths, add on top of that the growing library of stock synths that get added with every major updateHipster Bales wrote: Tue Mar 31, 2026 11:43 am Yeah, I tried other DAWs as well, but I stuck with FL because the UI and stock synths are easy to learn in my opinion

Thanks! I've been loving Kepler and Kepler Exo, it made me want to get an actual Juno 6/60 until I saw the price for themHipster Bales wrote: Thu Apr 02, 2026 6:44 pm Welcome to the forum, and yeah, I think they added Kepler and Kepler Exo a few updates ago.

I've never used Kepler (or Exo either), I'm more focused on Sytrus and Harmless.fludix9 wrote: Thu Apr 02, 2026 6:56 pmThanks! bla bla. We know,,,,eLawnMust wrote: Tue Jan 20, 2026 4:30 pm While having used FL am currently making a tune in Cakewalk Project5, which is quite old now but The MIDI workflow in the arranger feels much better/easier than FL... Still it would be great to have a P5 or FL with vertical flow like Aodix or BUZE tracker which are both piano rollers as well...
Not to bust chops on FLs highly touted piano roll but BUZE has incredible Rt-Click menu on both piano roll or FX curve lanes & many of those choices have submenus-
Here's a close-up of the menu easier to read, colors contrasted-
Point is having a flow from top to bottom with lanes that can be enabled, dealt with then hidden (including piano roll) makes all faster & cleaner...

I mean, I prefer FL's piano roll because A. It's the first thing I used when downloading FL, B. It just works.gruberman wrote: Sat Apr 04, 2026 6:01 pmbla bla.
