This time I took a rhythm out of the Jazz section of the Roland E-X10. I think it became a jolly tune.

Yes I know, I have a vintage Roland E600.TS-12 wrote: Mon Mar 30, 2026 5:21 pm Check out old Roland arrangers they have most amazing intros and endings. Amazing melodies and amazing chords
This is a cheap keyboard, the Roland E-X10 cost only 189€. I have many arranger keyboards, namely 11 on the moment going from 129€ to 1200€.
But you have to start somewhere and I thought of the Roland E-X10 as the worst arranger keyboard I have.
Other arrangers I have are: Startone MK400, Roland BK-3, Roland E600, Yamaha PSR E283, Yamaha PSR E473, Yamaha PSR SX700, Korg EK-50L, Medeli AK603, Casio WK7600 and Casio CT-X5000.
My goal is to try and create something with each rhythm on board.
I mainly do this for fun and for the challenge. I did create a website for it to housevest them all at one point in time, with their rhythms, so people could check them out before buying them.
But I am not sure if I will continue with it. I removed all music from it but the line out is still available on https://www.masterthekeyboard.be
Maybe I should restart with that idea?

This is a very childish track, the rhythm itself is very childish and there for I could not create something other then childish with it.
Yet the track does lift my mood when I am already joyfull, then it makes me even more joyfull.
It is made with a Country rhythm from the Roland E-X10.

At the moment I’m spending more time creating chord progressions again. I’ve stepped away from the idea of selling anything and want to focus more on the concept of the website for now.
In the end, I don’t know that many chords, and when I play with melody, the same chord progressions tend to come back, and after a while the melodies will probably start to sound very similar too, I suspect.
However, when I create chord progressions, I experiment more, because it’s easier and simpler, and I’m not concentrating on the melody. Because of that, new chords often appear—ones I didn’t know—simply because I’m experimenting. Over time there will still be recurring chord progressions, that’s inevitable with eleven (now twelve—another one is arriving tomorrow) arranger keyboards, but the focus now is more on creating a chord progression for each style to showcase the styles themselves.
Maybe one day the website will become a good source of information about the styles of certain arranger keyboards—something I always look for on YouTube before buying a keyboard, but rarely ever find.
From now on I also won’t make a post here every time I create something. I’ll wait until I’ve completed a full round of the categories and then make one post containing all the tracks. This way I’m not posting something every five minutes.
I got a bit tired of the Roland E‑X10, because I’ve restarted so many times with that keyboard, and decided to begin with another one—the even cheaper Yamaha PSR‑E283, which cost me €128.
It has 10 categories: Pop & Rock, Ballad, Dance, Swing & Jazz, R&B, Latin, World, Ballroom, Trad. & Waltz, and Pianist.
Over the past few days I’ve been working on it, and I’ve just finished the first round of categories: that means ten demo tracks. I’ll share them here with the category name above each one, so you can easily find whatever might interest you.
I’ve also updated the website with these ten demo tracks, and you can download every track in WAV format for free, as well as the cover and the background image I use in the SoundCloud player. Most of them (the ones I can upscale in Designer) are higher quality, but some Designer refuses to upscale because they apparently violate AI rules. But sometimes something nice still comes out of it, especially the rectangular banners. I use those myself as rotating backgrounds on my laptop. The links point to my OneDrive.
You can find all of that on my website: https://www.masterthekeyboard.be and everything is free.
If you look closely, you’ll find a red rose on every cover and every banner image. For some reason I used it in the first cover image of The Life of Beta, and then I got the idea to include it in every image, a bit like a signature. Why it’s a red rose, I don’t even know myself. There’s nothing behind it, but it can add a bit of mystery. Why always that red rose? Well, I’ll let you in on the secret: I don’t know myself.
