I'm not in the market for a guitar atm, though I have been trying to wear the frets out of one so I can justify buying another one. I would like to get an old-fashioned Strat style guitar with a small radius, a compound radius 7.25 to 9.5 seems to be the smallest I've seen lately. I'm not a fan of the flat fretboards.

You may wish to think twice with a 7.25 Notes bottom out quick when trying to bend on the dusty end of the neck. Even with 9.5 and a standard strat width I had to raise the action. Compound radius is better. It flattens up gradually as the frets come closer to the neck joint.

I too never liked flat radius necks.

You also might consider simply swapping the neck it's cheaper but may need to be sized.

I bought a room humidifier which I should have done long ago. Now that the outside temperature is on the rise I might not need it till fall.

I also bought a board. a 1"x 4" pine board to fit over the x-brace keyboard stand as I no longer need the keyboard but I want my pod go and midi peripherals to sit on it.

Finally added an EMG RPC control to my #2. It has mini humbuckers and the RPC makes them sound like single coils, while the SPC I already had in there makes them sound like full-sized humbuckers.

I guess I just bought a replacement TransTrem 2 bridge for my Steinberger GMT4. It’s been sitting on my shelf for a few weeks because they were out of calibrated strings for it, but they’re on the way now. I’ll report back when it it’s installed. My current one developed a “notch” that made it not always return to the starting position, and replacing the bearings didn’t totally fix it.

Couldn't resist. Ex demo @£129
3 2 left @£129

(the £50 Antiquity S-style I tried was excellent, should be great with a pickup upgrade and full trem block. It played perfectly and stayed in tune after tremolo use.) https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-B ... r-Red/79V6

Ordered a rosewood and maple, 9.5" radius, neck @£59 and an S-style sunburst alder body @£75 from GSGuitars on Reverb.

Around 50% off all necks and bodies.

Got enough bits in the part box to build it to my liking at a fair price, sub £200.
Might have to get rid of one, one in one out.

Just pulled the trigger on a Dean ML with a Floyd Rose myself! Been a Dimebag fan since forever, and you just can't beat that radical shape for stage presence. The Floyd is a bit of a headache to setup initially, but once it’s locked, those dive bombs are addictive. Switching from my old hardtail to this is like learning a new instrument, but the sustain on these MLs is surprisingly good for such a 'pointy' guitar. Can't wait to run it through some high-gain stacks :phones:

It’s important to be able to lean a guitar against a table and not worry about it falling over. Tom Anderson solved it with the double strap buttons and it’s weird that it hasn’t been widely adopted.
