MPE can overcome limitations in the OG 1983 DX7 engine. With SY77 Yamaha sought to overcome those limitations with enhancements to the engine specifically with the envelopes and how everything reacts to velocity which is already per note expression in the good old MIDI 1.0 specTj Shredder wrote: Sun Apr 05, 2026 2:04 pmThanks, that is good to know. The surge team actually enhanced dexed with MPE. As the SY77 was multitimbral, a mode that simply loads the same patch on all slots, would create a channel per voice mode, which is almost MPE and in most cases close enough…IvyBirds wrote: Sun Apr 05, 2026 7:20 am The SY77 envelopes are some of the most powerful and deepest Yamaha ever made
Just an idea…
So you can already play SY77 and SWAYED with incredible expression on a per.nite basis
I am a huge fan of MPE but don't really think the SY77 engine would benefit from it, however Sheaf has said he will add it in the future
If you want MPE with SY77 waveforms the FM-X engine based on Yamaha's FS1R (with some enhancements) in HALion7 is a fantastic option. It will give you 8 operators instead of 6 has incredible MSEGs, tons of modulation options, pretty incredible effects, filters, panning and a whole bunch of things you can point MPE at if you want

I want to purchase a Swayed License, but your product website indicates the site SSL cert as possibly being compromised.
Please fix it so that I can proceed with the purchase. TY!

Maybe you should try Six Sines by BaconPaul... (Paul is an awesome guy from Surge Synth Team)Tj Shredder wrote: Sun Apr 05, 2026 2:04 pmThanks, that is good to know. Unfortunately outside of cubase, Halion mpe doesn’t really work. You can get per note pitch but not the other expressions.IvyBirds wrote: Mon Apr 06, 2026 12:23 amMPE can overcome limitations in the OG 1983 DX7 engine. Yeah the old Omnisphere/Kontakt work around. There’s actually a cool benefit of this method which is that you can modulate all the effects per note for each copy, which is something you don’t get with normal mpe unless there are per OSC effects you might get some.Tj Shredder wrote: Sun Apr 05, 2026 2:04 pmThanks, that is good to know. Downside of course is copying the instances but Omnisphere made it easy pre-v3 with the command to clone to all parts. But still every time you edit anything you need to do it again. Would be cool to have a link for parameters between copies as well as copy across slots.

Those are illegal and pirated copies of Yamaha's IP. That is absolutely no different than posting links to a BOX folder of pirated versions of Zebra 3 or Swayed itselfmatamoris wrote: Sun May 03, 2026 3:10 pmYou can use most of them:Roman Wisniak wrote: Sat Apr 04, 2026 6:44 pm It could be great to use all those rom cards with Sway

That is also 100% against the stated rules of KVR and it's not really open to any debate
