If it stops working after 3 months I wouldn‘t even bother to install it. Its not at all clear what price it should be. If the idea is to ask for a subscription this is DOA or dead as a rotten fish…

Same here. 3 months and goodbye ? I have no idea what project I’ll be working on or still be working on in 3 months. Better pass. Worst licence idea ever.

lol the GUI is fun. turning the octave knob lowers the guy toward the cauldron and causes him to panic more and more. reminds me of MNTRA instruments and how they animate their GUIs based on parameter movements.

actually sounds fun too, though not very flexible or controllable. for instance, AFAICT you can't control anything about the envelope/response. IMO it's more like a formant filter than a traditional wah/auto-wah effect. fun concept, but needs more time in the oven. it gives the feeling that the audio portion takes somewhat of a backseat to the cute graphical gimmicks.

I think it was originally intended to be "for the next 3 months, you can grab a lifetime license for this plugin, then after that it will cost such-and-such amount" but Raccoon Audio didn't even follow through with that; it's still offered as a free download.

Raccoon Audio is definitely an extremely talented and creative dev who deserves a chance to succeed so I hope he keeps going.

I do agree with funky lime, though: Octawah Stew's graphics do take center stage while the sound seems to be an afterthought. Raccoon's two commercial plugins are also very similar in that respect and they're way overpriced for what they actually do.

However, I still believe Raccoon Audio is one to watch. If he doesn't give up prematurely due to a lack of interest in his work - and if he comes to his senses on pricing - I wouldn't be surprised to see him eventually land on the perfect balance of form and functionality.

But damn it, those graphics really are neat!
