Not that I don't think it's still too high, but this actually is - exactly - a half-price upgrade. (Or well, almost to be more exact - 50 cents aside)

Against the current 20%-off sale price of $79.
'Normal' price is listed as $99, though, so its actually 60% off against that.

Same, feels they missed a trick not adding some more stuff in V2...its just a slight better V1.

Does anyone here use their V1 on a regular basis?

I really liked the sound of the demo vids and seems like a quick way to give basic sounds that 'physical modeling vibe'. OTOH, me biggest fear buying plugins these days is that they will get lost in the pile and become dust collectors.

I'm fine with the price.

It's even cheaper at JRRShop (you know exactly what I'm talking about).

But I can't find the dry/wet lock feature.

Version 1 didn't have it. Version 2 too?

I like AAS, but this lack of little details that should be standard in a FX pisses me off.

A lot of missing things really.

No sidechain input even though it has a few flavours of envelope followers and a pitch detector.

No musical quantization for the frequency of the object section. Not even semitones.

Only one destination per modulator.

Still it's very good despite the omissions. It's definitely an improvement on the original.

Anyone with Multiphonics CV3 can probably replicate what this update can do already and with more flexibility

I just don't understand plugin developer pricing these days. Developers are aware of the current supply-and-demand realities of plugins, yes? The post-COVID marketplace? Not to mention the astronomic rise of free and DIY plugins in the last 2 years? So, they release a single effect plugin for $99? Is this a plugin solely for dentists? I have V1. The concept is neat, but its use is very special case. The pricing is absolutely bonkers.

In the previous version, the feedback parameter is limited so that you can't go to crazy feedback territory. Is this version the same in that regard?
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

TBH Buy it from JRR as an update and it's very reasonably priced.

No, because the upgrade price is discounted too (39/49).

Unless it's a glitch, this one does go into infinite feedback.

The presets leave a lot to be desired so if that's your thing, wait until they release more presets and it inevitably ends up in the bargain bin I guess. These are the kind of effects I like so I'll probably end up getting it.

upgrade price is indeed kind of high, especially for those of us that paid for the first version..not sure who got it for free. But anyway, there is really nothing else quite like this that I'm aware of...and I feel it can do some special things...I almost passed on it also due to high upgrade price, but eh..whatever...their preset packs cost as much... This is a unique FX plugin and for me....I will keep up to date.

No goalpost moves please. No-one in the thread, including me and including you, specified any upgrade price other than $39.
$49 just wasnt mentioned in the conversation at all, so $49 cant be the 'it' I referred to.
Maybe the typo (missed apostrophe in "it's") confused you or something, though it shouldnt have done. But I'll say it again more explicitly for you...

'Normal' price is listed as $99, though, so it (the price of $39 already established as the context) is actually 60% off against that (the normal price I refer to of $99.)

Sorry, I could have been more clear: I meant half of the intro upgrade offer (i.e. 20 dollars) would've seemed more fair. To me. But I'm a Yorkshireman and I'm "careful" 😀
