Online sources of free MIDI groove templates (or alternative techniques)

Wondering if anyone knows of any online resources for MIDI groove templates, to import into Logic Pro X.

Obviously I have Googled it, and I found one or two things, but they were largely of the “16th note, 25% swing” variety. What I’m looking for is more the sort of thing you would get from extracting a groove template from a bar or two of a commercial release, of a drummer grooving away: just the little human inconsistencies.

If such a source does not exist, can anyone recommend any bands that they use to extract groove templates from? I’ve heard 60s and 70s records are good for this (pre-midi quantisation era music, and in many cases recorded without a click track), but in many of these records you don’t hear just the drums in isolation for even a bar. Perhaps 70s disco music is good?

Last question – do many people derive groove templates in this way, or do people tend to play stuff in themselves, or use other techniques?

the only ones I know of are from numericalsound.com, which I have not tested or tried, as they are priced a bit high to try. But they seem to be what you are asking about.

Are you just looking for non-quantized midi drum loops? There are some places that sell drum midi played by a real drummer and not quantized, for example OddGrooves which I like:

But maybe I misunderstood what you are asking for. And they are not free so maybe that's a deal breaker also.
