In the driving signal, put a Fruity Peak Controller (FPC) in the effect chain. For the driven signal, it depends whether you use the Fruity Compresser or a VSTI (SuperCamelPhat2 for example).VanEck wrote:hello. i am trying to use slim slow slider sidechain compressor in FL5... and am very confused. can anyone tell me how to wire this baby... preferrably in stereo? thank you.
For Fruity Compressor: put a FC in the effect chain of the driven signal. Pick the parameter you want manipulated on the compressor - say "ratio" for example - right-click it, and choose "Link to controller". Choose internal controller "Peak control - peak".
For SuperCamelPhat2, insert a SCP2 into the effect chain of the driven signal. Tweak the compressor parameter a little, then click the electric plug type symbol at the far top left of the plug-in window. When the menu opens, pick "Last Tweaked Parameter", from the submenu choose "Link to controller", Choose internal controller "Peak control - peak".
After you've set up one of the two of those, adjust the peak detector on the FPC to have the desired effect.
