I decided to go ahead with the GTE as my one new piece of 2026 hardware.

I absolutely don't need more or different oscillators, and don't need more/different filters, modulation sources, controllers, and I'm fine on utilities. So something like GTE, which is a little bit utility and a lot experimental, with no specific purpose but lots of possible uses, and fits in with several other modules that I have, is ideal. Also it exactly fits in my remaining HP. :hihi:

Waiting for later in the year to see if there's some "must have" thing instead would be just another kind of FOMO... and the idea of a "must have" is part of what I want to change anyway.

This was a lie. I have just ordered a Music Thing Workshop Computer module as well. With the RYO cards.

The revelation of Move Takeover, ie making Ableton Move a target for MAX's 'RNBO' compiler, has made me decide I probably want, it basically recasts the Move as something a bit like an Organelle, and the Move Everything project is rather interesting too.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Oh, God - yea, it's hard not to order that after watching Ben play with all the features. I just remind myself that I would probably need to get a separate mic thing to use the pitch shifting on my voice and that saves me. But then I think it should replace Disting...but but but
I am casually looking at new euro rack cases :ud:

Well, I had been looking at Move, so, well, this breaks my "no new gear in 26" right there. If that helps to push anyone else into purchase land, your're welcome. Let's spend it together!

Stock probs are the bane of my life (well, in the not really important world of audio)

When I go to usual retail websites, and stuff is OOS, I sometimes Google it, and it comes up with several alternatives that state 'in stock', but when you actually visit the site, it says 'expected May to Sept'

My K-Accumulator and Rung Divisions have shipped now. I’m really excited to get them racked up, I bet they’ll make fast friends with my Harvestman rig. Bela says Trails will start shipping in June, so I have a while to wait until that system is complete.

In the meantime, I found a great deal on a C-L Sidrax which was built by Peter Blasser. I should be able to pick that up next week.

Lots of weird noise incoming!

quite a bundle tbh.
i haven't counted or sorted lengths, but it's a tote bag, fairly full of cables. i also only got one sticker :o which is in an unopened pack of "tendrils" cables. plus a soma lanyard, and a t-shirt. not bad for 25 quid really. if you need cables.
