nusound mind wrote: Tue Oct 31, 2023 5:47 pm This is exciting b/c Rayblaster imo is the worst sounding Tone2 synth (but still sounds good don't get me wrong) but also maybe the most interesting / unique, so I may go for this.

While I'm here I'd like to ask again what are people's opinion's on the best Tone2 updates in terms of sound improvments from their respective previous versions?
I've got past Rayblaster recommendations from very credible people. Interested in unique patches traditional Digital and Analog synths like PPG, VCS3, Minimoog, Prophet 5 aren't able to produce.

Markus,

I know this isn't the Tone2 support forum, but just wondering about the sample rate stuff. You've been very specific about 22/44/88/176 seeing improvements. Does that mean these improvements don't apply to people who use 48kHz (like me!)?

RayBlaster is so good. It churns out new and fresh sounds with such ease. For me, it belongs to a similar category like Thorn or Z3ta+, which despite being unapologetically 'digital', they do it with such beauty and power. RayBlaster isn't your go-to workhorse instead, it's a speciality synth that can give unique sounds when needed. Many of the sounds can simply spawn new tune ideas very quickly, I find.

Your Twin Brother Himalaya (cause you are Electric Himalaya) has credit.. clearly a bad joke.

I suspect you probably did some patches for Markus that he didn't use in the Factory bank but used them n these two banks.
