Did anyone else get an email from Native Instruments to confirm your email address?

Just got an email from register@native-instruments.com to confirm my email address like I just signed up for a new account eventhough I have been using this email and account for years already. It looks real but why would they send it now?

Even if it looks real, smells like fishing for password to me. Don't do anything, don't follow this email is my advice!

Do not click on links in unsolicited (read: emails you aren't expecting) emails. Ever.
Always manually go to the respective services website directly.
Probably the best security advice that exists today.

Yep after I saw this I didn't click on any link. The email came from the official Native Instruments domain though. I went to their site and my account is fine no messages or anything so I'll ignore this email.Etienne1973 wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 12:30 pm Even if it looks real, smells like fishing for password to me. Where it comes from can be spoofed.
You have to very closely look (hover over it!) at the URL of the link inside the mail.

I have not as of yet received any such email and you'd think that it would have been sent out in bulk to all customers at the same time.

I've just received the same email. Maybe there's been a data breach?

Hey all, I’ve confirmed with our team that this isn't a bug or a phishing attempt. We're currently in the process of updating our webshop, and the new system requires a verified email for secure sign-ins. We sent these out to anyone who hasn't verified their account in a while just to make sure you don't lose access.

What a weird coincidence... I didn't get the email, but I was trying to run Native Access this morning, and couldn't log in but I could on the NI website.
I tried reinstalling Native Access, and it didn't help. Changed my password, and that didn't help. Then as I had to give up and start work, I realized it was because I am running a firewall that blocked Native Access
So the first thing I thought when I saw this thread was, did my password reset accidentally trigger an email to all accounts?
