Is that it? That should be 12.0.2 or something like that but whatever the numbers are arbitrary at this point.

Maybe they have stopped doing the .0. thing to be consistent with other Apple Software. Or they just pick a random number from a bag

I wonder if the subscribers got the intervening updates between 12.01-12.2. Haven‘t seen anything to that effect, so, it‘s just Apple appling.

Logic is good DAW for sure, but I was switched to Cubase from Logic X. The most great thing is all updates of Logic are free. But maybe I need to try Logic again..

Logic is good DAW for sure, but I was switched to Cubase from Logic X. The most great thing is all updates of Logic are free. But maybe I need to try Logic again..

I'm working exclusively with Logic for 25 years. It's still my preferred tool. Logic and Cubase are similar in many ways. I wouldn't switch back and forth. I know the temptation very well. I remind myself that's better speaking 1 DAW's language fluently for real than hopping emotionally triggered to the next.

In DAW-land some aspects are always better on the other side. I just have 1 DAW backhand. Reaper. I would switch to if Logic evolves clearly in a direction which doesn't fit the user profile I belong to.

I'm 53. Wasting time and energy are definitely sins now. Perhaps you're much younger. So it doesn't matter that much to you than it does to me. If yes, then forget my post and move on in your process.

Same rationale. Been using Logic since 2007 when I got my 1st core2duo iMac with 2 gb RAM. Tried Cubase 10, but it didn‘t perform that well on my old i7 4ghz late 2015 iMac.
Except, I‘m a senior citizen now. Even less time to waste.

Similarly although a johnnycomelately at 2014, I’ve dipped into Cubase a couple of times most recently for a feature in it that works (as opposed to the logic feature that only kind of works in a clunky way) however, if Logic can get it work properly then Cubase goes bye bye on my system again.

To save space on my old MacBook I've uninstalled Logic and all AU's. Just VST3 for now. Logic is nice and all... I just can't really pinpoint why I really don't like working with it...
