Well… I thought I had 45% off but then I realized it was from LAST summer. Idk why I thought it was current.

Anyway I still had 15% off, so I got widener and bus processor.

Weiss exciter and the compressor would be great but too much $$$.

I think widener is great,
As for bus processor… I’m somewhat mixed. for pure compression alone i prefer the glue (at 8x oversampling) however there’s a lot of neat stuff that bus processor brings to the table too. Softube is kind of softer, the glue is a bit rougher with the audio, but focuses the kick better, it’s very aggressive. It’s perhaps more preference than one being clearly better than the other.

I’m sure I could string a bunch of plugins together to similar effect wit those extras but more and more I prefer shorter chains, fewer plugins.

I already have tape, tape delay, harmonic processor and MAS. All great at what they do but there’s a lot of either “too subtle or too much” going on with those, for me.

My absolute favourite is the Amp Room Bass Suite (especially loaded into Amplifiers rather than Amp Room). The Bass Standard is fantastic - I have and like and used other Ampeg emus, but they imo pale in comparison. And the Supernova is really great too. (The Cardinal isn't really my cup fo tea very much.)

The EL Knuckles I like a lot too

How does Amp Room Marshall Suite hold up in 2026?
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

I only use Saturation knob sometimes, I like the hiss - no kidding.
The rest is not for me, also their amps and synths not.
Softube plugins don't give me a satisfactory result, prefer other options.

God I hate Mutator, sounds so puny compared to its peers

It's been a while, but I remember the Mike E sounded really nice.

OTO biscuit and the tubetech CL1b (V1 is better which is a setting in the current version)

I wish Biscuit was a Modular module

Yeah, but too bad it has a fixed high cut.

Right. I have Mastering Flow subscription, which I think pretty good value, considering each month you attain credits to be used towards perpetual licences. The Weiss DS1-mk3 is expensive, but sounds so good and I really rate it once you get your head around it.
Trouble is now the DS5 multiband is available and pretty much the same price, is there any reason to still pick the DS1 over the DS5?

Have you ever tried the Tim P 100A for nebula? I'm curious how it compares.
