Pigments is definitely a beast, the modulation system is so intuitive. For me, U-he Diva and Xfer Serum are still daily drivers because of their character and workflow
Also I just stumbled on a video recently where a guy makes the most realistic cymbals I've ever heard. He does it with free plugins using feedback, allpass filters and distortion. Quite laborious but the result is insane. Someone should really turn that method into a dedicated plugin

Aalto +1. A kind of FM modular synth which sounds different and under rated in my opinion.foosnark wrote: Mon Jun 14, 2021 11:44 am Aalto
Warlock
Fundamental
Bitwig Organ (you can modulate those drawbars at audio rate as well as FM the whole thing, and run it through a wavefolder...)
This is the backup band for my Eurorack and Bitwig Grid stuff.
I will Add Sonic charge Microtonic for electro, hardtack, techno drums.

Aalto is still near the top for me, but I haven't used Warlock or Fundamental in a long while now.
Gonna say Synclavier V and Sine Machine. I enjoy several others -- especially tinkering with Myth, Kontrast, Kult, Absynth 6, Serum 2 -- but since I'm primarily using modular hardware, it's more like if I want a polysynth, additional drones, or just a part I can play expressively on the Linnstrument without messing with MIDI-to-CV.
