OD Ancora – named after the Latin word for "anchor" – is a stereo image correction processor that intelligently anchors the stereo field for improved mono compatibility. Three primary parameters provide intuitive control of the operation, each freely adjustable over frequency:
  • Depth adjusts how strongly corrections are applied, bringing excessively wide elements closer to a controlled stereo field.
  • Timing defines how quickly the processor responds to changes in the stereo content.
  • Target sets the threshold at which correction begins, preserving the natural stereo field below.
Operating without fixed crossovers, Ancora offers two complementary modes: L/R mode redistributes panning energy between channels using minimum phase filtering, while M/S mode provides active correlation control using linear phase filtering. The unique RePhase feature compensates for phase artifacts and energy loss introduced by stereo width processing, maintaining natural punch and presence. The processing is independent of input level, providing true "set & forget" functionality.

Introductory price is €99 (until end of March 2026, €129 thereafter). DeEdger and/or Finesse license owners receive an additional 20% discount, visible in their user account.

Ancora is available at the Tokyo Dawn Labs store:
https://www.tokyodawn.net/od-ancora/

The Demo version includes all features, but parameter settings are not saved within the project.

Big thanks to Fabien & Vlad at Tokyo Dawn Labs and to our beta testers for their support!

Thank you!
Is there a demand for audio plugins on Linux? I've worked on Unix/Linux for many years. Should generally be possible, but OpenGL might be tricky. Which audio plugin formats are used on Linux, if I may ask? VST3?

Sure there is! Maybe still a bit niche yet also steadily growing, especially after the release of Win 11.

Mainly VST3, VST2, Clap I would say. Not sure about OpenGL but there should be ways.

Ooh! +1 for Linux support!!! The main formats are VST3, CLAP, and LV2. There are a lot of us here, and our numbers are growing! :)

People have been saying "this is the year of the Linux desktop" for the last 25 years, but this year MSFT is really trying to make it happen.

i use Nugeon Monobass often to keep a tight lowend, though I dunno if summing Mono is really the way to go, I checked so many radiosongs, they all have a bright low end, nothing looking flat at all.

and Monobass also has autophase align etc.? so interesting what Ancora can do more? better?
