Where is the looper inserted in the chain and does it remove any of the features when engaged?

Maybe tech has evolved enough to be more affordable.
Smartphones are a prime example.

I can't speak for this model, but I took a punt on their '11th Dimension' (multiple modulation types) pedal a few years ago, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality. One catch might be that they can't make'em fast enough to keep up with demand - according to the website, the Smart Box is sold out:D

I'm not surprised. It's no-brainer for the price of a Boss pedal. Beginners have never had it has good. I'd have one if I didn't have a modeller.ThoughtExperiment wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 1:18 pm I can't speak for this model, but I took a punt on their '11th Dimension' (multiple modulation types) pedal a few years ago, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality. They're in an 'arms race' with some other company. Valeton I think.

Doesn't look like it can do anything that M-Vave's Black Box can't do. And the M-Vave has real footswitches and steel housing. This thing, like Sonicake's Pocket Master before it, looks like it would break the first time you stepped on it.
Here's the tail of a GE-150 patch:
"fileInfo": {
"app": "GE150 Edit",
"app_version": "V1.3.0",
"device": "MOOER GE150",
"device_version": "V1.3.0",
"preset_name": "59 Bass Drive ",
"schema": "GE150 Preset"
A few simple changes and voila!! It's an FX-110 patch:
"fileInfo": {
"app": "FX100 Edit",
"app_version": "V1.4.0",
"device": "FX100",
"device_version": "V1.4.0",
"preset_name": "59 Bass Drive ",
"schema": "FX100 Preset"
And besides, ALL Chinese companies are subsidized and partially controlled by Xi's regime so "competition" in China doesn't mean quite the same thing as it does in western countries.
Many of these Chinese companies are actually the SAME company! The Flamma FX-100, Mooer GE-150 & Harley Benton DNAfx GiT are all three exactly the same unit. In fact, just by changing a few lines of code in a hex editor, patches can be exchanged between all three.They're in an 'arms race' with some other company. Valeton I think.
