SY85 was a pure Rompler, 8Mb and brand new AWM2 synthesis.
I did a try with Synthedit and created a 4 layer Rompler inspired by one of the EX7 modes (3 AWM+1 AN layers)... But i ended adding an hybrid VA+Rompler per Oscillator. (Mac+win - image is an early dev version)

Fs1R on the other hand was a Formant synthesizer with FM engine. It remembers me about Casio's VZ1 trying to push limits. In both cases, results were not accord to complexity.
At the time FS1R was released there were already better software solutions. I think that Hexed (later dexed) started months before and of course, Orangator had an interesting formant mode.

I see a valid certificate 36 days old. The random SSL Cert checker I pulled up also seems happy with it. Network tab in Firefox also shows valid certs for the other CDN and misc domains hosting resources for the page.TechM3X wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2026 8:39 pm Still has an SSL cert that is not encrypted & locked down, and thus I can't purchase a license.

What are you seeing?

Yeah, looks like a pretty standard Let's Encrypt SSL cert here, valid, encrypted with elliptic curve.

Thanks for letting me know! I'm not really sure what I can do. The hosting provider I use automatically provisions SSL certificates, and all tests seem to show it's fine. May I ask which browser/OS you're using?TechM3X wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2026 8:39 pm Your Website:

Please fix. TY!
The payment is handled by a 3rd party provider. You can access my store directly on their site too: https://strydeaudio.moonbase.sh/products
I think it should be possible to directly complete the purchase there too.

Ooooh!!!!!! The Yamaha EX5!!!!!!!!!! That alone could be enough for me to buy a remote Windows system to network to my Linux system!!! I DREAMED of buying one of those! I only didn't because of the really slow sample loading. I remember having long discussions with the keyboardist from Men Without Hats about this synth!!! This would be such a unreal dream come true!!!!!!!!

Is the best (only?) way to construct your own banks via the finder or is there a better way in Swayed. I have many sysex banks that contain only a few sounds that I like. I want to collect these sounds into a new bank.

If you select a preset from a sysex bank and you like it, you can go into the presets tab and then press "save as" to save it to a bank of your choice.soundman007 wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 5:34 pm Is the best (only?) way to construct your own banks via the finder or is there a better way in Swayed. as Sheaf mentioned, you can create your own banks within SWAYED. If you buy a librarian software like Derek Cook's sy.factory, you can edit existing SysEx banks or create new ones (including direct copy/paste between banks). For me, having the flexibility of sy.factory was worth the additional $40, but I think the utilities built into SWAYED are quite reasonable.soundman007 wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 5:34 pm Is the best (only?) way to construct your own banks via the finder

@sheaf, @MCMorrise, Thank you both for your input! I was thinking more of batch copy. In the finder you can just select all the presets you want to keep and copy them in batch to the new folder. I guess that is not possible in Swayed. It so happens that I just also bought sy.factory mainly to convert all the Tnn, Jnn, etc files into sysex. I haven't looked at all the other possibilities yet. It seems to be able to do a lot of stuff but I find the manual below par, not like Swayed's manual which is perfectly clear.

That's a good feature request, though. Having such options for patch management would certainly be very useful.

Yes indeed it would be great to have that facility.EvilDragon wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 7:38 am That's a good feature request, though. Having such options for patch management would certainly be very useful.

Something like checkboxes next to SysEx patches, where you can then bulk copy them to a bank? Or also in the preset manager itself?

I just released v1.0.1
These are the changes:
Fixed: Adjusted screen size not remembered in AU version
Fixed: Operator wrapping problem
Fixed: Panic button not resetting NaN problem (still working on the NaN issue itself)
Fixed: SysEx voices not always loading into correct slots
Fixed: SysEx loading crash on certain files
Fixed: Memory leak
Fixed: License file not loading if the file path contains non-ASCII characters
Fixed: Double clicking the routing matrix mutes the AFM element
Fixed: Default input values for OP1 and OP5 in algorithm 42
Fixed: Bypass FX state not saving with the session
Fixed: Crash when finishing playback of backwards AWM sample
Fixed: Detune not being loaded from ROMs in certain cases
Fixed: Preset bank list in preset save dialog not updating after changes
Fixed: Potential crash when scrolling through preset bank list
Improved: Select preset screen sizes from settings menu
Improved: Bypass just the reverb effects, or all effects
Improved: Use arrow keys to navigate presets when preset manager is open
Not all open issues are fixed in this version, but I thought I'd do a release with what I've fixed so far, so people can benefit from it while I work on the remaining ones.

That is more than a solid 0.0.1 update!
