Agree completely! With me, it was like 5 minutes! Whatsmore, looks great.Krakatau wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2026 2:47 pm very intelligent versatile and flexible delay,...bought it after a few hours !
I got bored of standard Delays. So I built Manta.

Yes Alice is great. Interesting to see the mods take to this thread with silent changes.osiris wrote: Wed Apr 15, 2026 2:42 pm I love her vids, watch them all the time. She's the real deal.

In the video the delay seemed very interesting and this is why I started this topic.
Now I demoed it and am not convinced of it.
It feels like a beta version.
Too many bugs, inconistencies and quirks.
Soundwise I heard nothing special or appealing that I don't already have in my plugins folder.
Given the relatively high price for a delay these days I simply pass.

Essential for me in delays are FX in the feedback loop (filters, saturation...) so the delays degrade with the repeats, typical for vintage delays.
This one doesn't seem to have (from watching the intro video), just pre- and post-delay FX, or have I missed it?

This delay is a multi-tap with a nice interface. Sirial is free and does most of the same things. PSP 608 can also do most of the same things and I bet a lot of people here already own it.

seems to be going to a trend now? music channels now saying i build a plugin, well doubt that anyways but i see more and more releasing plugins, yeah they are all devs now too?

honestly, I preferred this one that the Objeq delay 2 upgrade...Harry_HH wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 7:25 am You got bored.
I own appr. 30 delays, of which most are not "standard".
The latest purchase: Object Delay 2.

I still like the ideas that I saw in the video about this plugin.
What I don't like is being a beta tester without being one while a hefty price is asked for.
Nowadays that everybody and their cat can vibe code things and call it a "product" it seems to be not so trendy anymore to put all the design work and bug fixing into a plugin (beta testers, yeah).

Manta offers quite a bit more I think - Sirial is good but the feedback for example is not as extreme.Uncle E wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 7:41 am This delay is a multi-tap with a nice interface. Manta is a bit overpriced I think - for example Daedelus Delay is very interesting, innovative and powerful - and 22 UK at the moment. I dont see that Manta represents 'more' than Daedelus Delay altho they are quite different
Chow Matrix is another delay that is ridiculously powerful - and free

i alos had a spin with the demo:
Manta was probably never meant for live play uses ? would be somehow undertstandable to me
CC mappoing things out and jaming along, it always created artefacts.
It`s right now definitly nothing for live jam usages ( or host automations i`d suspect)
Long time no see, but i got a very loud burst after just 2 minutes in. ( Be aware !)
Which makes it definitly look -to me- like underdeveloped.
i personally don`t care too much if other plugins "could" deliver same.
Key is the access to functions.
I didn`t looked further and deinstalled it quite rapidly, since it seems not interesting vs. "my own uses".
yeah, overpriced, imho.
While high prices would "demand" that a plugin has been out developed. Concept and the quality of the coding anyway. "Then" we could talk......

I agree, a bit bit overpriced, yes...

I don´t know... from what I´ve seen there is (nearly) nothing I cannot do in UVI Relayer or similar Delay plugins...perhaps even better with more control...
Her statement there would be no Delay offering something like this is very overdriven/wrong...
Relayer is about 10€ cheaper and from a well known company... so easy pass on this one...

So when somebody comes along to your shop wanting to buy Soundtoys Echoboy you tell them: "Don't bother, Sirial is free and does most of the same things..."
