Cheers Will!
Midi in -> Instrument -> Audio out is all I would be looking for in terms of standalone functionality. It’s just very convenient to have an app also side function as a plugin host because it allows me to simply practice playing without having to load up the entire DAW or create templates and patches for Filament and other plugins without having to load up the entire DAW.

Awesome in which case it should have you covered! The in-built preset system isn't working in the beta build. It is built my end, there's just a couple of issues that need sorting. Once that's in place you should be able to do this no problem.Morty-C-137 wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 9:57 am Cheers Will!

Awesome! Then I will be giving this a thorough testing on my system in the next few days.

Should be able to - if I'm understanding you! As much as a normal piano roll anyway. The arp and clip launcher default to quantized when you click, but shift drag on the edge will allow you to move the notes off grid. If thats what you mean?mambo888 wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 2:22 pm Looks amazing. Can it do strumming for guitars? (e.g. using midi clip or poly arpeggio but slightly offset notes)

If you have a poly sequence or arp, you should be able to check if you want up stroke or downstroke. Then it would put every note with a slight offset, note 1 - zero, note 2 - 10ms, note 3 - 20ms and so on, so it will sound like someone is strumming up or down

Ahh I'm with you! Currently you have to do it manually but I get the workflow your going for, I'll have to think if there's an elegant way to implement it.mambo888 wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 5:46 pm If you have a poly sequence or arp, you should be able to check if you want up stroke or downstroke. A preset would probably be sufficient.WillTurnerFLA wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 6:50 pm Ahh I'm with you! Currently you have to do it manually but I get the workflow your going for, I'll have to think if there's an elegant way to implement it.
btw, I've always wanted something that could do it with the mod wheel. IOW, the notes in the chord would be triggered by mod wheel value.

Sorry, in case you didn't see this: I would like to be able to play a monophonic melody and have it send each note to a different instrument one after the other (based on note order, not range), is that possible?

Hi everyone that sees this,
Just a note to say, we're going to be closing the public beta soon. We've been pretty bowled over by the response - we were expecting around 30-40 testers, but we've ended up with 170 in 48 hours. Which is amazing! Anyone that signs up now, you'll get added to the waitlist for when we reopen the beta. We're likely to do this again before the launch so please do still sign up.

The only issue I am experiencing atm is GUI related. The current choices in background and contrast provides poor legibility and becomes tiring to my eyes quickly. Dark green and grey on a rich black backdrop is..imho not a good experience.
Excited about the functions of the app though.

Hey Morty, you're not alone in this! I've had a number of use feed this back so we will change this/give theme options for the plugin.Morty-C-137 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 8:50 am The only issue I am experiencing atm is GUI related. Thanks Uncle E, this isn't possible simply playing in, and not hugely compatible with the engine. However this is actually a feature in the arpeggiator - per note instrument output. I removed it before the beta as it fell slightly against the grain of some of the other arpeggiator features but may bring it back if its useful!Uncle E wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 6:54 pm Sorry, in case you didn't see this: I would like to be able to play a monophonic melody and have it send each note to a different instrument one after the other (based on note order, not range), is that possible?

A preset is definitely doable. With some of the stuff your suggesting you might be able to achieve some of this stuff with an in built script engine in the output rows. I've actually sort of used one elsewhere in the plugin so could be doable. Might not be one for the release build though.Uncle E wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 6:51 pmA preset would probably be sufficient.WillTurnerFLA wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2026 6:50 pm Ahh I'm with you! Signed up and anxious to check it out when you re-open the public beta.
Duality without regard to physicality
