I just had the NaN error occur when dragging Swayed from one instrument slot to another. And then it happened a few times with the China Orch preset.
I should add that this is the first time in weeks.
Indeed great update!

Unfortunately I still haven't found the cause of that problem. But if it happened with v1.0.1, did the panic button kill the NaN? (If you tried that)soundman007 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 9:57 am I just had the NaN error occur when dragging Swayed from one instrument slot to another. Another question that could help narrow it down: does that China Orch preset have AWM or AFM elements, or both? I don't have it in my own collection.

I have sent you the China Orch preset via email. It has 2 AWM's and no AFM. I am now playing with v 1.0.1 and the problem has not reappeared.

I tried the demo out, and after using it for a while (making my own quick patch from init, then switching to a factory preset) I started getting a NaN indicator in the corner. (I guess it scans for NaNs in the output and then silences buffers that have them in it?) It would continue to happen every few seconds when playing notes if I switched presets. If I deleted and reinserted the VST instance, I'd get the NaNs again within a minute or two. After restarting the DAW (Ableton Live 12.2) it took several minutes of messing around to get it to come back. I didn't find a reliable way to trigger it.

The manual download link is broken.
On this page, https://strydeaudio.com/swayed/manual it links to https://strydeaudio.com/swayed/undefine ... v1_0_1.pdf which is 404
But it should go to: https://downloads.strydeaudio.com/swaye ... v1_0_1.pdf (I guessed this by looking at the installer download URLs)

I could find hundreds of sysex files for the SY77/TG77 but not a single one for RY30. Am I looking for the wrong thing?

You're looking for drum patterns? It's not really the sort of thing drum machine users share, or buy third-party ones of, so it's not surprising you can't find any. But Swayed doesn't have a pattern sequencer anyway, so... I'm not sure what you're expecting.soundman007 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 4:05 pm I could find hundreds of sysex files for the SY77/TG77 but not a single one for RY30. Am I looking for the wrong thing?

No I'm not interested in patterns I make them myself, just sounds, like the few drums you find in the sy77 or tg77.beely wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 4:11 pmYou're looking for drum patterns? However, this does not mean that every warning is false.IvyBirds wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 3:45 pmVirustotal is known to have a serious issue with false positivesAerio wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 2:54 pm virustotal.com alerts:

It's at least worth having the manufacturer check it.
Swayed-Installer-v1_0_0.exe, on the other hand, was NOT flagged.

A drum machine is not a synthesiser as such, it mostly stands and falls on it's available samples. You can of course do things to those samples - my RM50 for example (essentially a rack version of the RY30 without the sequencer) is a drum-focused version of the TG500 engine, but even that, when you buy the RY30 cards - which are *wavecards* - the cards only contain samples, they don't contain kits, so you have to program your own voices using the samples...soundman007 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 4:23 pm No I'm not interested in patterns I make them myself, just sounds, like the few drums you find in the sy77 or tg77.
You can load in the RY30 drum wavecards into Swayed and access those waveforms, but you'll have to build your own drum kits.

Ohhhh yeah, batch copy with a checklist within SWAYED would be a good feature.soundman007 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 5:26 am @sheaf, @MCMorrise, Thank you both for your input! I was thinking more of batch copy.
Within sy.factory, you can batch copy. It's not as straightforward visually; it's fundamentally the same flow as copying cells in a spreadsheet app. You select the source voices to copy (you can use CMD to select individuals or SHIFT to select consecutive, as in Finder), copy them, open your target SysEx bank, select the first empty/desired overwrite slot, and CMD+V to paste. Copied voices paste sequentially, not in the slots you selected in source. So, e.g. if you copy A01, A12, and A13, then paste in the target bank starting at A01, they will be pasted A01-A03.

Thanks for the heads up. I've submitted the binary to Microsoft for analysis. Hopefully they can do something with it, as it's a false positive. Meanwhile there is not much I can do about it right now.Aerio wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 2:54 pm virustotal.com alerts:
