A single oscillator synth and everything will sound "chorus"-something.Constructed Identity wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 10:22 pmSiliconDeath wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 4:48 pm Is this the thread to ask? I'm curious, how does the JN-80 compare to Korg Multi-poly synth ?
slightly related, but also curious how the JN80 or Model D clone compare to Legend plugin or multi-poly (plugin/hardware)
Only related in that they both reference an old synthesizer to market (sell) a new synthesizer.
Make your own judgement, taste is subjective.
- basically no modulation options, sparse at best
The facelift of DeepMind series X seems much more of a bang for buck.
- the DM6 I had is really a great synth
- 2 oscillators and endless modulations options
- a facelift DM 6X seems closer to a deal
Whatever happends to JT-series in the pipe now for 3-4 years or so?
- at least would make a stir of interest

All Behringer knobs are cheap! But it's not TOO dissimilar to the preamp input knob on the original ARP 2600 - I guess they were going for that look.mztk wrote: Tue Feb 24, 2026 5:30 am why use such a cheap-looking volume knob on the 2600 black & orange ?

Unfortunately, yes. Half of the knobs of my 369 needed to replaced after using it 10 times......

Damn it B., can we get over this already?
Note: I like the filter/mixer features.

Tempting. It's the same size/format as Neutron & K2 so it'd fit perfectly in the glaring hole in my 3 tier stand. Sounds as you'd expect it to, i.e. very Rolandy, so I know it'll sit well in most mixes I tend to do.
Sadly, I'll probably wait it out for the big brother JT16. Despite it's so basic, I'll buy the BJuno cos the nostalgia is strong in me, and then I can't come up with any defensible reason not to pair a BJuno with a BJupiter. TBH I probably would get more use from the JT2 and use a big poly mostly the same way I do with monos, but...more voices innit
. I just can't help myself. I feel confident the JT16 will be out this year.
Interesting development though - can't immediately think of any other Behringer Euro format desktops that have an arp on them. Have to applaud that and hope it becomes standard.
