I am not going to use Waves any more, I won't support AI. Have to drastically change my workflow unfortunately
Is your primary objection that generative AI is "stealing" by training on copyrighted material without permission? The FAQ says: "ILLUGEN’s model was trained exclusively on documented, legally owned material. Ethical AI development is a top priority for us at Waves Audio—we are committed to respecting creators’ rights and ensuring our training sources are properly licensed and documented." So that shouldn't be an issue with this.

It also doesn't generate full songs, just one-shots and loops. So that's not an issue with this either.
Everyone is allowed to create music or noise however he/she wants, I am not interested in music with AI involved, I am interested in music created by someone with personality, creativity with ideas coming from his talent, skills, visions and own ideas of playing instrument(s) , writing good lyrics and with own mixing style - originality, skills, authenticity and creativity are always the winner for me.
I will stay away from every company who has ai involved in their production and products

So I guess you're also not interested in music by people using loops, sequences, or samples they didn't create themselves? Fair enough. But boycotting any company that participates in any of that would rule out a lot of companies.

You are constantly arguing that Prince didn't care about anything other than speed. If that's true (which it's not) You really think he wouldn't be all over AI because it's faster?

As far as AI goes it's just a tool like anything else. Good artists can use it along with talent, skills, visions and their own ideas of playing instrument(s) , writing good lyrics and with own mixing style - originality, skills, authenticity and creativity

But maybe you can explain why using presets you didn't create made by people you don't know is OK but using an AI to make a preset isn't?

No! "Real music by real musicians" (Prince)
To make a complete song within 3 hours is fast,
to make a song within two minutes by using ai (ai full production) is not making music, it is just giving orders to a software.
Btw DX7 was used as a preset machine, but you had to know how to play a synth and needed skills and creativity. It is great to programm own sounds, too. My fav instrument is my Spanish nylon string guitar and it always sounds the same, so it is like using always the same preset, but yiu have to know to play a acoustic guitar without using plec!
