Today I was playing a Warmoth Tele hybrid and a Takamine EF-360 TT....

I don't get to play guitar as much these days because I'm busy in the studio doing other things...

But I did manage to work through a few tunes including "Close To You" ....

Burt Bacharach wrote some great songs 🙏
No auto tune...

I just strummed my OM-21 for a few minutes today.
We both feel wretched from the Shingles vaccine we got yesterday. WTF? :help:

^ looks like fun.

I was playing the OM-21 again tonight, for about 1.5 hours. It is my ‚run into a burning house for‘ guitar. It‘s 13 years old now, well seasoned and quite versatile. Not a huge difference with it and more expensive models.
So, I just let go, and let my fingers do their thing. This guitar will sound good just plonking chords, but if you have some skill it sounds like a virtuoso level guitar. Its dynamic range is excellent, playability perfect for me, rich overtones..pick single notes on the e or b, and the guitar gives off its own accompaniment.
I often play it in Drop D, and it has a surprising bass for an OM.
Light as a feather, as well.
After laying off guitars for the first time in my life in 2024, having this beauty waiting for me is really good for my soul.

I restrung my Raven West 450 today and....

I need the nut either fixed or replaced. The low E sits to low and rattles.

That’s true, especially if you consider ruining David Bowie’s career to be a “moment.” But he was still sold as some kind of trailblazing “guitarist extraordinaire for a new generation” in the guitar magazines at the time. He was like the Jordan Rudess of guitar in the ‘90s.

Reeves has been having another “moment” ruining the Cure for the past 15 years. He still hasn’t learned a single guitar part in all that time. It makes Perry Bamonte’s untimely death all that much worse.
And here I was thinking I'm the only one who can't stand the guy...

One small drop of superglue in the slot, then file it down after drying. You can use a paper towel to pre-shape the groove.

No guitar for me today.

I've neglected my linnstrument. While usually I'll do something cinematic pseudo classical which doesn't actually require a lot of chops. I've been on an Americana kick

I just assumed it was universal. I mean, absolutely no one liked Tin Machine. And I’ve seen The Cure live several times since Reeves joined, and every time he’s struck me as a weekend warrior who showed up in his sandals and Hawaiian shirt to drink a few beers and jam with his buddies. I know I can’t possibly be the only one to notice.

Got an invite to play bass for a friend so had a great session today on my old home made fretless acoustic bass.
This thing is just so much fun to play. Been on for about an hour.
I recently stripped it down and re-made the bridge to replace the strings with flatwounds.
Great tone.
