Hi,

I am searching for sampler or similar to mangle my own voice recordings. I used Amenbreak VST which is more made for drum loops and for Kontakt "Korn". Both are too limited. I am searching for something to change the sound and create something vocal-alike out of my own *.wavs.
I do not search for monster or horror sounds. I am a singer and interested in opera and theater productions.
I do not have to play that results like in a sampler or in a synth with sample input.
I am a owner of Komplete 15, so I can use for example Reaktor 6, Kontakt 8. etc. With user community Reaktor ensembles after several days of intense search and trials (organized by highest recommendations) I can't say, that there was something really useful to me, especially regarding workflow. For me I can't use Ensembles where I cannot drag and drop my audio files but have to import them and then search in the UI for a poti to select the right sample I just imported without quick information. That's is for me very counterintuitive.

But still I am very open for Reaktor 6 recommendations.

Thanks you!!

I think you are looking for something granular synthesis. As far as I remember results with this synthesis type are more ethereal than monster voice like. I'm sure some other guys here can point you to the ideal, specific software. ;)

The vocoder in Razor. Also Molekular can do great stuff.

I just purchased Sampleson's Tactile last night. It's granular. It allows you to drag two different wav files into it and perform sounds with it. You should give it a look and see if it might be useful to you.

There's also the one from Waves, what is it Evox? I'm also thinking stuff like Unfiltered's Byome, which can do good granular stuff. There's a whole section of Devine presets. He is the granular/glitch king.

Thanks for this hint! :tu: No demo, sadly. Sounds a bit like "almost" every *.wav goes into this ghost-ish, horror-ish style? How's your experience so far?

Thanks to all others, of course, too! Open to more products, still.

I have a couple of Sampleson's plugins. Haven't experienced any bugs. And they're often on sale.

I haven't fired it up again since that first night. But I probably played around with 4 different pairs of.wavs and loved the results each time. I emailed them that it would be great if the samples could be transposed inside the plugin so that every sample could be used in any project. I haven't heard any response yet.

As for the sound, yes the effect adds a particular vibe. Very sound design-y.
