EDIT/UPDATE: SEE A FEW POSTS DOWN ABOUT INCREASING BLOCK SIZE, AS THIS FIXED THE CRACKLES FOR ME.
I tried it again with the latest version. At first, I turned off GPU rendering and the shaders under the 'i' button since I saw the video () that pointed this out and also explained the mistakes that many people make. When I tried making some snapshots with Serum 2, some really basic ones where I just changed the filter cutoff and resonance and oscillator levels, making sure not to change the preset or any non-smoothly-changing parameters, I found that shifting between the snapshots caused a lot of stuttering, crackling, and cutting out. Then I turned GPU rendering back on and found that this actually reduced the crackles by about 90%. But I was still getting some of it. Then I tried closing it and opening SnappySnap fresh with Serum 1 since I sometimes have issues with Serum 2 anyway. Same behavior. Got crackles, less with GPU rendering on. I also tried it with Repro 1, only changing filter cutoff and resonance. Those were the only knobs I touched. Same problem. I have a fairly powerful, well-optimized laptop, with a Core i9-14900HX.
I would buy this plugin if only it were free of such problems.

I should point out that I have an NVIDIA GPU, RTX 4070 laptop version. NVIDIA drivers are notorious for causing DPC latency issues, which I have struggled with. But I am mostly free of such issues lately since I followed a number of guides to solve DPC latency problems.

I increased my audio interface block size from 128 to 256 samples and now it is smooth and works well so far with basic adjustments with no crackles if GPU rendering is on but crackles a lot still with GPU rendering off.

Guys, I also was absolutely into Snappy Snap, justa amazed with it. I decided to record sort of a message to Inkie, so that he's got another solid user feedback. I really hope this brillian idea can be executed once again, in a clean, proper way...

this is really cool to see in a plug in! looks well thought out. i’m curious to try it out.
the only other thing that does anything similar to this.. but not exactly like or w/same parameters and implementation.. is the patches Gradient device which is a max for live device. in some ways more complex to set up but does morph patches.
his gradient M4L device which does do a lot of morphing and preset mutating. it’s a preset interpolator.
https://www.patches.zone/max-for-live/gradient
some of these things can also work w/the free max for live stuff from dillon bastan.. the markov variations device.
neither of them work same as snappy snap but perhaps in the same family.. but only if you’re using Ableton…
i’ll probably end up getting snappy snap. after watching the videos and taking note of some caveats for setting up morphing instrument plug ins it seems like it can be sorted out.. also seems like he’s an attentive developer
