a variation on Ligeti's Continuum

Here is my comfortable variation on Ligeti's continuum. All I did was change the instrument but that gave rise to an easy listening version.

I studied Ligeti way back when, so I do appreciate a lot of his work, but I think I prefer your version here...somehow more complete and satisfying than the original!

I'm not sure why, but I have never really liked the sound of harpsichords, particularly here in dissonant mode. Your variation and instrumentation is certainly much more to my liking than the original.

harpsichord can be a little abrasive and also a bit emotionless. But there are some great performers around. You hvae reminded me I have a CD somewhere about that is pure harpsichord and very good but I cant remember the performer at the moment. Will trawl through the collection
