Ah the joys of a 4 track cassette deck. The grace of simplicity compared to today's daws. It was the right gear at the right time for many of us. I had a buddy of mine who worked days while I worked nights. I showed him how it worked once and I'd constantly be kicking him out of my apartment so I could sleep. For me it was all about making original music and for him it was all about showing off music. He stopped playing/recording when he stopped having an audience.
Brass and sectionals. I've gotten a lot better working out two handed ideas but sometimes I think I'm letting the arpeggiator do the important lifting. I watch Ryan Leach's videos intensely and then never apply what he's trying to teach
I've had the two 200 linnstrument rig for awhile now which would give me four four octave manuals to work out on but mostly I just stick to one split. or just one 5 octave manual.
Back to study time for me.
What else do you play? (musical instrument)

Thanks, good input there on brass.
First attempts will probably be like in some big bands, 3-5 brass instruments.
Like in this Tom Jones concert, I counted to 5 in brass section, dual trombones and trumpets and a sax I believe
- Venus at 39:40 and the incredible groove of this band as well
- next song If I only knew as well, listen to bass player
- Leave your hat on at 1:18:10
- Tell what you wanna do at 1:27:55
Others like Black Crowes as well, use brass in a cool way.

Thank God for modern brass woodwind and string libraries be they modelled or sampled.
As part of my "ongoing" linnstrument development I've been trying to learn keyboard parts and transpose them to the linnstrument. Two days ago I opened a midi file for Asia's "Only time will tell" and replaced the synth horn section with a modelled one. Then began to experiment with my new fader box and key switches. If only they had that stuff back then.
