Question, is there no way to make the MSEGs free looping?
Correct... MSEG's don't free loop.

You need to use an LFO for that.

I am playing chords with looping MSEG modulating stuff and I'm automating the looping speed ... But each time I play new chords the MSEG restarts and doesn't sound continous.

Thank you.
You can "hack" it by change MSEG Trigger from poly to single and then to make it continous by each new chord tied with previous. That means, notes need to overlap to not make a MSEG reset.

Tried that already but not exactly working 100% right. I think I tried all combinations of settings also.

Well, now we know another future feature request :D at least one LFO with custom shape (draw it in like MSEGs) or free running MSEGs.

Thanks for the replies guys!!

In the meantime, you can draw a shape in a Mapper and use a free running LFO to scan through it.

Another option is the Math Module. You can create a lot of unique shapes in the Math Module with 2 free running LFO's.

No, what's happening is that people expressed their opinions about a product. The fact that you got triggered and started calling them names is the salient point and the problem.
They can moan that the software is nearly unusable because the gui is the wrong shade of grey or not green or whatever color they desire, I can point out it's not so bad and will get better in time. There is no problem here.

You don't even see the irony do you? You're whining about people expressing their opinions that you don't like.
And you're whining about someone whining about people that are whining. Shall we continue? I hope you see the irony too..

VitaminD wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2026 9:14 pmPeople were saying they'd effectively have to suffer through using it because the gui didn't look as they desired. And I say get over it.
They were saying that the current dark default is hard on their eyes. Would you say "get over it" if the theme was hard on your eyes? You're being far more entitled than anyone who has a problem with the dark GUI. As long as you don't have a problem with it no one else should? Do you get it now?
I wasn't just referencing the person who complained about needing a light skin. There were a cornucopia of gui peoples asking for conflicting things. Really just wait for a few weeks, I'm sure something will turn up. Not just a white skin but the green skin requested probably many more. No need to go on and on about it. Which was my point. The synth was just released. Wait for things to gel. It's 3.0 -- .0 being the key part. Every dot release is going to make what is fantastic somehow even better. Just wait!

Oh I don't know, to bring a positive contribution to the thread instead of calling people names because you got triggered in a fit of sycophancy ?

Besides, I did bring a positive contribution to the thread, I reminded them it's early days be patient. Good things come to those that wait! :harp:

I've been using Zebra for about 12 years and folliowing various Zebra3 threads through the years. It's fantastic to see Zebra3 released! It must feel good over at u-he. Congrats! It looks and sounds great!

Official release finally here. Congrats! Now it's good time to take some rest.

I'll play with Zebra 3 for a couple more days. Been keeping adding things onto my suggestion and feature request list and it becomes longer every day. I'll post it once I feel complete...

God damn man give it a rest already. Both of you.

You mean a direct modulation slot?

We can discuss such things. Maybe once the support workload settles a bit.

Yeah... ever since you mentioned that direct modulation slots used less cpu, I figured, why not add them in the places where there is already room... like LFO Slew and Symmetry.

Who knows what else we could put there?

You’re mixing up default values with the values stored in presets.

There is a default value stored for pretty much every parameter (with the exceptions mentioned by Urs). Using double-click resets the parameter to that default value.

If you’re changing parameters in presets, and want to return to the values used in the preset, you can either reload the preset or use the Undo function.

As Urs said, please contact our support.
If it crashes when trying to open the GUI, this sounds like an installation or permission issue.

There is no problem here either. As I said I've already created over 100 patches for Z3 so the current UI and workflow is fine for me. But I realize there are other people who do have a problem. That's called "empathy".
VitaminD wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2026 9:14 pm And you're whining about someone whining about people that are whining. Shall we continue? I hope you see the irony too.
I was pushing back against you needlessly calling people names. You were just being a smart a$$. I hope you see the difference.

Again we get the painfully obvious part about "it's just been released". Everyone gets that. But that doesn't help the people who are having problems now. So they should just not use Z3 and "wait for a few weeks" for some solution to their concerns? Or months? Should they move on and buy something else?

Unlike you I'm not waiting. I'm trying to learn the theming process so I can help with at least some of their concerns right now.

Look, there are going to be complaints about any product release if the user base is large enough and the product complex enough. There is never going to be 100% satisfaction for 100% of the people. You just have to live with that fact as does the developer, any developer. Quite frankly it's really not your business to play White Knight.
VitaminD wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2026 9:14 pm You have a lot of experience in being positive contributions to threads.
You went all the way back to 2023 and that's all you could find? I'm disappointed your obsession was so fruitless. Did you understand the context of those posts? Did you find all the posts where I helped people or posted free presets etc? Did I call anyone a "Male Karen" in any of those threads? Sure I've posted controversial stuff in the past and will almost certainly do so in the future because I don't kiss anyone's a$$ but that doesn't absolve you from being an a$$hole in this case.

Anyway enough of this nonsense. We've wasted enough time. I'll bock you, you block me. Problem solved.

Here is the first version of my theme edit:

Tek Edit 01.zip

I'll be working on a light theme for those who want it as I get more familiar with the process.

Now I'm off to make more patches with Z3......... :hyper:

More irony still lost on you. :dog:

I implored you 4 pages ago to just PM me, but you decided not to and instead continue publicly, to everyone else's aggravation. But I agree. Let's move on, for everyone's sake.

This synth is too important to continue to debate your butthurt over my choice of words.

Happy synth patching!
