Augmented Persia

I had the same problem with missing samples, I tried downloading the installation files direct from the Arturia site, but the download always quits on about 1gb and the download size claims to be 2.61gb. Ah well, I've sent them a support ticket and they usually are very quick. The presets that work sound good to me, since I create world music they will be useful.
Did anyone else see an offer for the Augmented Collection? I was offered it for £299, but as I was only missing Persia, I bought that instead, assuming I would qualify for the "A Collection" at some point. But after purchasing Persia the A Collection disappeared from the site.
Edit: I got over the problem by pausing the download each time it stalled and then resuming, it just continued from where it had stalled (it took 3 pauses). I'm sure this would only be a temporary issue, but for those with the same problem, and as impatient as me, this worked.

well until they do...check out these faux real or "augmented" preset packs for vital by yuli yolo and others...Matt's sweet spot curated comb filters are great for making these hybrid soundsBBFG# wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2026 8:42 pmBut hopefully more will show up to show beyond this. My price was $29 though and these types of instruments hit my wheel house. So yes, immediate buy.bermudagold wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2026 7:48 pmI was under the impression that NI was market leader and that komplete being the highest value proposition in the market was a runaway hit, especially with black friday deals...doesn't base komplete (except entry level select) come with full kontakt?...I assumed kontakt at this point was relatively ubiquitousBBFG# wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2026 7:35 pm 80% seems high. Or were you including the number that downloaded the Free Player version?
I wonder how many of us that has it now has had it with NI and because of that leave Kontakt uninstalled.
Joel Blanco Berg is excellent at these faux real "augmented" sounds and has patches for phaseplant and surge
since the topic is augmented persia, here is a duduk...yes I know that's armenian before kvr goes full kvr
http://www.youtube.com/@lydoel
there are excellent augmented sounds in alpha forever presets using subtractive to waveguide...including one of the best faux real snares I've heard
15:29 is a good example
Music had a one night stand with sound design.....And the condom broke

Thanks. I have not yet found a way to click with Vital or Surge though.bermudagold wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2026 12:14 am...check out these...
And I don't think either are bad. They just don't do it for me.
I am always interested in duduks though. And I do happen to own Phase Plant.
I've bookmarked his page and think I'll be making a few purchases in the future there.

Yes all of them with the exception of the new Persian one as I own the V collection.Morty-C-137 wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2026 5:50 pmDo you own one of the full version Augmented instruments?IvyBirds wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2026 4:53 pmBut they should be available inside of Pigments. The Augmented series would be much more compelling to me and I am sure others if the samples and Wavetables inside of Augmented were also available to Pigments for owners of them.starflakeprj wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2026 4:04 pmThe samples from this one are not available in Pigments. And I wouldn't compare it to NI's Play series either, since the Play series uses samples only. Arturia uses both samples and wavetables in the_AUGMENTED series.bermudagold wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2026 2:31 pm you realize these are most likely just pigments presets with custom macro guis?...they want to be able to sell these to people that don't own pigments...same thing NI is doing with the Play series...same philosophy as UVI...I'm sure UVI workstation is just falcon with functionality turned off...just makes more sense for development resource efficiency
Would also make upgrades to the V Collection more interesting because you would get new stuff to use in Pigments
I have owned Pigments since a few days after version 1 came out, I hardly ever use it because I also have Falcon, Omnisphere, and HALion7 that have larger sample libraries. For middle Eastern type sounds there are tons of them on Omnisphere and UVI World Suite 3

This is literally in the top 3 of dumb things I've read today and I've read some doosies. They consistently release new VIs, effects, and hardware yet they've "given up on being a real developer". GTFO with this nonsense.

When was the last time they released something people actually wanted? I don't even remember. They've completely tanked the V Collection with very non-V "synths" like all of these augmented ROMplers. It's been a very long time since Arturia got any money from me, and it seems more and more like they never will again.

We're only on page 3 after 16 hours on release day, because there isn't even enough interest for people to bother. We've largely given up on Arturia as a developer, just like Arturia has largely given up on being a developer. The last TAL release was on page 15 by this time, after hitting page 3 in less than 2 hours of release. It's quite unlikely this thread will ever reach 15 pages.

Call me a heathen but I actually like their Analog Lab Pro concept and very much love my Keylab MK3jamcat wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2026 3:31 am When was the last time they released something people actually wanted? Good lord.
Pigments has had now 6 annual major updates, all FREE. There are now more outstanding emulations in V Collection than likely from any other single developer - still a handful of old plugins to convert, but those from the past nearly decade now are among the best in class, some unique. The FX suite is terrific. Both of these collections are an absolute snip in the sales.
Now this company have the cheek - the sheer AUDACITY - to ask me to pay €29 euros if I fancy a hybrid library of Persian instruments. How very dare it? They haven't released anything in the last 30 minutes which is specifically what an insatiable KVRer wants, so here goes another thread filling up with men venting entitled bile.

Thanks. I asked this in the Arturia forum when it was announced and never got an answer.

It's on sale at €298 which is not fifty percent off, whereas Augmented Persian I can buy for $29.noahrbc wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2026 2:01 am Just get some samples from Strezov Sampling and be done with it. Arabian Ethnic Orchestra is like half off right now. Arturia is going the way of NI unfortunately.
They are addressing different market sectors though.
I know what you mean about the NI comparison.
Full price is too much for me also for this kind of thing.
