Hello,I've just released a new metadata editor for macOS called ShadowTag.

https://spongefork.com/shadowtag/ (https://spongefork.com/shadowtag/)
I'm quite interested to get feedback from folks such as yourselves as to how this could be more useful to you. There's feature/bug submission built into the Help menu. I was the developer of Audio Design Desk, but am now working on my own under my old experimental software name, Spongefork. Old timers might recall that name.
A quick overview:
ShadowTag is a professional audio metadata editor for macOS — free to download, with no file limits or time gates. Available in 11 languages. Requires macOS 14+.
It reads and writes every major standard in one unified editor: ID3v2, Vorbis, MP4, BEXT, iXML, XMP, and UCS. Drag in folders to build instant, persistent playlists; files stay in place. Finder Tags sync directly with macOS. The built-in player offers waveform view, loop regions, Audio Unit plug-ins, and video playback.
On-device analysis (no cloud) covers EBU R128 loudness, BPM, musical key, sound-classification keywords, and UCS category suggestions — multi-threaded across every CPU core.
Every playback, organizing, and analysis feature is free. ShadowTag Pro unlocks metadata writing, batch format conversion, CSV and image export, and UCS filename renaming.

The free version is quite useful as a viewer of all types of metadata, you can edit locally, and the paid version enables export to file and writing to individual files.
Thanks!
