Softube Weiss Exciter was released last year and is currently on sale, just € 79 for newsletter subscribers. I can't find any written tests or reviews of it. It's weird that the only search results for such a (presumably) high quality product are dozens of release announcements plus a few videos (which I generally don't like to watch because of the usual self-promotion quirks). So, while I already bought the plugin, I'd like to see some informed discussion on it here. Has anyone used it repeatedly? Can anyone comment on the claims regarding its novel approach?

There’s a review at no 5 of this comparison list.

Am trying the Weiss for first time today, seems good and very transparent.

I do like the Arturia though and use that all the time, it covers bass regions which the Weiss does not (correction: I think the Weiss does, with the red LP/HP filter control)

Am interested in others views too as am thinking of buying the Weiss too.

Here’s another review I found https://mixing.co.kr/en/33918

I purchased the plugin a while back, but never really used it, so can't give you my opionion. But what's wrong with video reviews on YouTube, for instance? They are not more biased than a written review, if that would be your concern.

I prefer reading for several reasons that would be off topic here.

About the Weiss ending in the low mid range, yes, that seems like a minus at first. I've been enjoying the Tokyo Dawn Labs Slick EQ when it comes to treating the complete spectrum.
