MegaMod version 1.0 has been released. This is quoted directly from their email:
“MegaMod now comes in an instrument version! Now every synth, sampler, and instrument you have can be modulated with MegaMod. Using the preset blender to morph synth presets can produce some incredibly cool sounds, and we’re excited to see what you come up with.
An important note for the instrument version: only instruments will appear in the “Load Plugin” window, and only effects will appear in the FX version of MegaMod.
We’ve created a brand new 3-segment curve editor for the LFO. This new editor lets you create and modify curves with much greater precision and a faster workflow. Here are some tips to get started:
Hold Shift to move multiple curves at the same time. This is especially handy for creating balanced shapes in just a couple of clicks.
Right-click a curve or a node to set precise values. This is also very useful for creating perfect timings and shapes.
AudioSuite technically worked in previous versions, but with version 1.0 we’ve invested extra development time to ensure MegaMod works perfectly with AudioSuite in Pro Tools. You can now render clips directly on the timeline with precise results.
This is especially useful for post-production and sound design when you need to render effects like a pitch drop or an underwater low-pass effect.
Now there’s no need to re-record tracks or rely on automation. Simply bake down effects at the clip level and share sessions without worrying about whether your clips or plugins will sound the same on the dub stage.
Thanks again to all testers who have helped put MegaMod through its paces. MegaMod is a complex system with a lot of moving parts, and we appreciate everyone who reaches out to let us know about any bugs or issues they find.”

Anyone know if you can detach it from the loaded plugin? Some plugins take up the entire screen and you can't see/access the mod section.

I downloaded it and played with it for a bit. I really like the idea, but it glitched out on a couple of plugins and it did crash on me a couple of times.

What advantages does it offer over conventional modulation plugins in my DAW, except working as a standalone VST host?
It would be nice if there was a deep dive guide somewhere.

If you're in Bitwig or Ableton Live with Max For Live or Cubase? Probably nothing.VladK wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 3:22 pm What advantages does it offer over conventional modulation plugins in my DAW, except working as a standalone VST host?

For Bitwig? Nothing really. For Logic Pro? Everything.VladK wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 3:22 pm What advantages does it offer over conventional modulation plugins in my DAW, except working as a standalone VST host?

You understand what modulation is, yes?

This is not modulation as in chorus etc.. but modulation as a way to control parameters of plugins loaded inside.VladK wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 11:53 pm There is huge number of free modulation plugins, my question is what is the point in wrapper?
I only know of a handful of plugins that can create modulation and send via cc to other plugins, so this is interesting as a way to apply LFOs to various parameters inside any plugin.
I have not tested as Cubase Pro does this natively, but this could be interesting.

Are you familiar with Max for Live devices that allow you to apply an LFO or envelope follower to any plugin parameter?VladK wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 11:53 pm There is huge number of free modulation plugins, my question is what is the point in wrapper?
That’s what this plugin enables you to do. For people that operate a DAW that does not have that kind of functionality built in.
