So I’m pretty excited about this and due to some kindness, and maybe curiosity, so far, I’ve only needed to buy filament along with the brass fittings and some additional sliding nuts.

Hope to have pics to share soon. Some pieces had to be reprinted, but as it’s a favor, I’m in no rush and I’ll get it when I get it. I still need to make sure I understand how to heatsink the brass fittings, but sounds easy enough provided I don’t overdue it.

No new modules despite drooling over quite a bit of stuff. The missus is out on medical leave, and it could be the way of the future? So lots of things to figure out, but none of those include buying more stuff (although I did sneak in some cheap plugins to scratch the itch).

That is perfect!

My Sunday goal was to research tips and that is a super nice hack full of simple common sense. Of course it’s still hot, so the table top makes it work. I’m sure I have a bolt that I can adjust to work for when the table won’t work.

Plus nice tip on using the drill as a lathe. Hadn’t thought of it. I bought the tips for $7 already, but another now obvious thing to file away.

Subscribed and thank you!

Picked up a Keylab MK3 61 (black) for the desktop. Fantasic integration with the V Collection stuff I have, but finding a lot of work getting settings to match my mobile setup which is based on a Novation SL MKIII. This has led to my re-doing Logic Pro projects and building two projects one for studio / programming patches/effects, and one for live play. Which has led to also picking up several soft synths to round things out. Which has led to even more programming. :D

New in 2026 for me

Arturia Keylab MK3 61 Black
Roland Cloud Total JD-800
Roland Cloud Total D-50
Roland Cloud Total System-8

Hardware synths are on the backburner until this stuff is re-integrated to Logic Pro.

Finally got a Behringer 3 tier stand, £35 Inc p+p on ebay, new in box

Been out of stock everywhere for ages, apart from Gear4Music, who wanted £28 postage from Sweden :o :nutter:

Anyway, should make the desk much tidier, and an excuse to but a 3rd unit :hihi:

( also planning on using it to make a template with my router for future projects  )

You are most welcome. Indeed, "using the drill as a lathe" is quite clever. Even use of a soldering "eye-run" is, honestly. :tu: I'd had no previous exposure to the process. Have fun.

Oh cool. :hyper: I've been giving this one some thought as an in-the-case unit, though I really r.e.a.l.l.y don't need another sequencer... I do like the eight drum trigger buttons and dedicated outputs though, which can of course be used to trigger anything.

You'll need 2 stands. One for the 70HP and one for the 80HP units  . Actually, I'm pretty sure it's a deliberate ploy from Behringer, otherwise can't see why they'd release 2 different sizes. I'm already resigned to being a willing and susceptible victim. I have 2 x 70HP and 2 x 80HP units, so OBVIOUSLY I can't possibly have a gap on either of them. The bigger units have a reasonable choice - I could get a Proton or a JT2 happily enough, but 70HP is more limiting. The main one left is the ModelD which I don't want :? .

Actually, I wonder if TD3 would fit into those stands...didn't think so?

been interested in that, but it doesnt seem to have a profile for the A1 mini Ive got. opening it up, it does look like most of it fits, though.
keep us up to speed on how it goes, please, ive 'bookmarked' a couple of simple cases for potential 'spare' storage.

So its my brothers friend and colleague (who's also in modular world) who's doing this and my brother says the A1 mini won't work. They had to borrow a larger one to print the pieces, and even then, for some parts it was difficult.

What I don't know is if my requested size is the issue. I asked for 86hp because that's what I saw someone else print out. What I received are (6 pieces for two rows of 86), 86 hp split into 3 sections, x1 30hp & x2 28hp.

I'm not sure which machine/model/brand they're printing with, but they're not able to print out the arcade style rack, which is the one I would love to have. They mentioned it'd be possible with a tweaked design, splitting it into smaller parts, but that was outside the scope of what they're willing to do (which of course is way more than fair for my ask).

Waaaaant!
