Don't discount some of the new DAW's spawning from the release of the Tracktion engine. They almost universally have a ways to go, but at some point they may cure some of your ills with Traction Waveform itself, if you have any of course.
Personally, I have never really liked most of the waveform design, since long before it was called that even. ymmv

I like the Magda one a lot so far. AI component is optional. Dev is moving very quickly.

I'm keeping an eye on Magda. Doesn't feel ready just yet but it should get there in time.
For Tracktion, all I want is the free edition to not require online activation. Instead of having it default to the stupid demo version with the audio nags, just default to the free edition.
