Hi all,

Just opened the public TestFlight beta of 1Take Pro — a multi-device
synchronized recording app for iOS/iPadOS 18+.

**What it does:**
Trigger synchronized audio+video recording across multiple iPhones/iPads
simultaneously. PeerClock (my clock-sync app) aligns device clocks over
Wi-Fi to sub-millisecond accuracy, so clips imported into your editor are
already in sync — no waveform matching, no clapperboard.

**Key features:**
- 24-bit / 48kHz audio (same engine as 1Take)
- BWF file output — DAWs and video editors pick up the embedded timestamp
automatically
- Master device triggers all slaves with one tap
- No external hardware required
- iOS/iPadOS 18+, Swift 6

**vs. Tentacle Sync:**
Tentacle Sync: dedicated hardware, frame-accurate timecode, ~$200/unit.
1Take Pro: devices you already own, sub-ms Wi-Fi sync, free beta.
Different tradeoffs — but for indie / YouTube / band sessions the practical
difference is minimal.

**Honest beta disclaimer:**
This is genuinely early. Some features are missing and real-world stability
hasn't been tested across enough device combinations yet. That's exactly
why I'm opening it up — I want feedback on sync accuracy in real Wi-Fi
environments and use cases I haven't thought of.

During the beta, all 1Take Pro features are fully unlocked at no cost.

Curious. Our current workflow is recording each device individually and syncing later in FCP by waveform, which has been rock solid. Realtime multicam gave us hangs and sync issues in the past, even with FCP's built-in multicam record over Wi-Fi 6 (shame on you, Apple). What does 1Take Pro offer over FCP's waveform sync, and how does PeerClock hold up over long takes?
