Hi all,

I’ve pushed a major update across Stillwell Audio today.

There’s a new website, a simpler purchasing system, updates to a large portion of the plugin lineup, and a new plugin: Fe26.

What’s changed

Website & purchasing

* New site
* Checkout now runs through Stripe
* Simplified delivery
* Drag-and-drop license installation
* No accounts, no activation servers

Plugin updates
A large portion of the lineup has been updated, including:

* 1973, CMX, Event Horizon
* v4 releases of Bombardier, Dyno, Major Tom, The Rocket, Transient Monster, Vibe EQ, Bad Buss Mojo, Oligarc Filter, Verbiage, Bitter, Psycho Dither, and schOPE

Focus is on:

* improved performance
* resizable, high-resolution interfaces
* smoother workflows

No major changes to the core sound—this is refinement, not reinvention.

New plugin: Fe26
Fe26 is a transformer-inspired tone stage. It’s level-dependent and can sit quietly in the path or become more apparent as you push it.

Congrats! It looks great!

Will try the Fe26 demo out first.
First and foremost: We need great songs (again)

Post

Congrats!

Will OLGA and Oligarc also get a high res GUI? Really sorely needed these days...

Thanks!

Absolutely. Everything's getting brought up to date...I only have five left to go!

And more new plugins...man, it feels GOOD to do new plugins. :)

YESSSSSSSSSS!!!

OLGA still slays, to this day.

Also curious if you'd entertain making CLAP versions (in case of OLGA supporting polyphonic modulation would be siiiiiiiiick)?

If you have a license already...you're covered. We've never had a paid upgrade and don't plan on starting.

New purchases generate a new format license file, but the plugins all accept both formats, old and new. Just drag-and-drop the license file on the plugin UI and it registers. If the license file is in the old original location (in the same folder as the plugin), it'll work too.

I really tried to make this as bulletproof as possible.

You already have the first one - Fe26. It's a "use that sh*t on everything" kind of plugin.

Like, either on every source track, or every buss, or even just on the master.

It's very, very clean if you aren't pushing the signal hard, but the closer you get to 0 dB the more nonlinear it gets. It's not intended to be a distortion effect...like the Neve 1073 it's super clean unless you push it unreasonably hard...but you still hear it. That's why I have linked input and output gains...so you can drive the input hotter without making the output louder.

Excellent news! Am I wrong to assume that if you own Oligarc, the new filter is yours and the rest will follow?

Also, I've always held off buying Olga because I just found the UI too clever and confusing. I know about the english labels, but I think doing it in English with a Cyrillic style font would be a better way to go. Good luck on everything.

Oligarc and Oligarc Filter are related in that they have the same types of filters built in, but they are separate plugins - owning one does not automatically give you the other.

Oligarc is on the short list to get upgraded soon, though. As soon as I get through these first few days of product release I'll be diving back in to finish up the last five.

Congratulations!

Quick follow-up on Fe26 since a few people have grabbed it already.

The easiest way to think about it is:

It’s not a saturator, and it’s not a channel strip. It’s a transformer stage in the path, so what it does depends on how hard you hit it.

Where I’ve been using it:

DI bass
Adds weight and density without getting bloated. Push it a bit and you get more presence, but it stays controlled.

Drum bus
Very light settings. It doesn’t jump out as an effect, but things sit together a little more naturally.

Mix bus (subtle)
At low levels it’s basically invisible. Push it slightly and the top smooths out and the low end firms up a bit.

The key is that it’s level-dependent. If you’re not driving it, nothing much happens.

It’s been more of a “leave it in the path” tool than something I’m constantly tweaking.

Curious where other people are finding it useful.
