Just check the template MS Dual Chain in the Effect Rack template and just set gain Matrix to use either L or R

Or you can just add Effect Rack add another chain and in inspector set one to Left and another to Right. You can click on it and set value or click and drag Up or Down.

That's a UI not a UX, dude. And if it gives you anxiety, don't use it. Many of us have absolutely no issue using Falcon.

It's new for me. I didn't know about hiding parameter in effect rack channel. PAN control. Very useful. Thank you for good information.

By the way, Falcon's UI is carefully layouted. Simple enough for such a huge capability synth. While there is certainly room for improvement in many areas, I don't find it particularly difficult to use compared to other super synths. Far better than MSoundFactory.

Asking here while I wait for UVI support to get back to me. Has anyone tried to use their Falcon voucher recently but the order gets stuck on the "waiting for payment confirmation" page? I've attempted to use it on different devices and browsers with no luck.

Post

Try it with another browser, best would be Firefox.
I have very often trouble with payment when using chrome-based browsers, or using ad-blockers like AdBlock or Ghostery and such....

then you don't want a power tool...there has always been a tradeoff between ease of use and power...in order to enable the really hard and complicated things to be done easier and in less steps,...you most likely make the easy and simplistic things to be done harder and in more steps...once you take the time to learn falcon's taxonomy/ontology, and think about sound design and your objectives deterministically, and then save templates ...it is as straight forward to use as any other power tool

if you want to freestyle and be led by the plug in experiential play, to stumble upon happy accidents with lots of stochastic functions,...then you looking for a game not a power tool...nothing wrong with dsp videogaming...there are tons of cool plugins in this vein...but they are different products serving different philosophies

Is it somehow possible to that Falcon starts with the sync to host enabled as default ?

Does the analog ADSR annoy anyone else? There's a difference between being imprecise to add variation and being wildly inaccurate, and the times shown are wildly inaccurate.

.. yeah, if only that was actually true.

Falcon's UI is _objectively_ quite bad. I've shown it several times in the past and nothing has changed in the many years it's been available. There are TONS of things that simply take many more mouse clicks and menu diving to get done compared to the competition.

.. I disagree. You get more done with less mouse clicks in MSoundFactory for many things. At least that's my experience after about 100+ hours with MSoundFactory vs Falcon where I have maybe 300 hours in it.

yeah...there are definitely things I have found in falcon, halion, MSF, Indy, Hise, and Kontakt where I look at the design choices and think yeah I would have done that differently...but me nor no one near me has ever been slowed down significantly or annoyed enough to avoid using it...by all means like most things it could definitely benefit from refinement...but fair enough

Lately i found it opens with a white screen for a second, also opening a bit slower than normal. Is this something others also experienced ? Using latest version...
