I've always wondered about pan controls. Why not have 5 check squares instead of a knob.
Quick placement of the instrument instead of fiddling with degrees.

Thanks for the suggestion! This could actually be cool for making sure things are located in specific regions of the stereo field. It would typically be an "extra layer" of control (which I suspect is why it's not typically found in plugins, it's just easier to leave it as a continuous control I supposed). That said, very interesting concept we'll have to think on!

There's another one i thought about. Many plugins have randomizers but i kind of miss a feature.
It would be nice to see what parameters where changed by the randomizer, and follow that, the ability to lock parameters for the next randomization.
Some have it but most don't.

I would have a few ideas, but they're very specific. Like ITD-based panning featuring allpass filter networks to retain mono compatibility. Or a comb filter matrix for all of those who don't like to use pre-made impulse responses. What type of ideas are you looking for?
