Just saw this on YT and it sounds like an interesting idea. I haven't tried it. It's a decent price. I did watch the vid and it can do a lot (except I didn't see anything about automation.) Anyway, I thought it was a cool idea. Here's the YT vid that explains it:

I don't know. It seems they already pushed out an update a few days ago. I think since the M1 is an ARM chip it would not work on an Intel, but that stuff is all so new to me. I do know some Windows devs who are wondering if Windows will switch to ARM and they will have to do new versions of software.
Some Apple users are using something called Rosetta to run Intel stuff on ARM processor, but I don't know if it works vice versa.

No, it doesn't work the other way around. There is definitely no native way to emulate an ARM processor, and I wouldn't trust a third party to do the job either.osiris wrote: Thu Apr 30, 2026 7:50 pm Some Apple users are using something called Rosetta to run Intel stuff on ARM processor, but I don't know if it works vice versa.

Weird coincidence, here's another DAW announced that seems to be doing the exact same thing.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

That popped up for me also on YT. That one looks like 8 tracks.

Why not go for the real deal like Dave Grohl did, really cool film
- I have the DVD and the soundtrack CD as well, really good music in there
Moving from a daw with timeline arrangement abilities to some software lacking that does not feel that tempting.
- but Neve console in film can be left out, but a real hardware R2R machine is a bit tempting
Ads turn up now and then, but also seeing other ads for the hard to get tapes like 1" or 0.5" you hesitate, but 8 tracks on 1/4" could be alright, I think.
Dave Pensado awards to a guy were for vocals one year, but he moved ProTools tracks to R2R and then back getting the sound he was looking for.
But for the same money you can get a SSL Fusion and do that too, which I experimented with a bit for a while. Even reamping having a SSL Pure Drive you have 2 options for character, one that is closer to SSL 4000 and the other SSL in use today.
- haven't tested SSL plugin versions, maybe it's as good
