One thing that’s come up a couple times already, so worth clarifying:

Fe26 is not a saturator.

It won’t clip peaks or turn into obvious distortion when you push it. If you’re trying to drive it like that, it’ll feel like it’s not doing much.

That’s by design.

It behaves more like a transformer stage in a signal path—subtle on a single track, but it starts to show up when you use it across multiple tracks and listen in context.

The easiest way to hear it is to put it on several tracks and then bypass it across the mix.

If it’s too obvious on a single instance, it tends to get muddy pretty quickly once you scale it up.

Just wanted to put that out there so people are evaluating it in the right context.

probably you don‘t need a seperate thread for EVERY post related to Fe26… might be easier to find something related if it’s only in one or two threads… ;)

btw also glad, that you‘re back! remember stillwell/schwa from the old day! but it‘s getting a liiittle out of hand.
