This is my rather ramshackle garage punky attempt at the Grange Hill theme tune. This is, in my opinion, the greatest kids TV show of all time, at least up to about 1987/88.

Just in case you've never heard or seen the programme here's the original title sequence. The song was an edited version of Chicken Man by Alan Hawkshaw and it has been used in other shows, but this is probably the most famous version.

I took my inspiration from the world of Supermarionation that blessed us with Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet & The Mysterons and Joe 90. If you are not familiar with Joe 90, he is used as an agent of the World Intellience Network and uses technolgy of the Rat Trap to transfer brain waves from others to give knowledge for his most special assignments. One procrastive individual, stubbornly tinkering with an obscure softsynth called 'Yoshimi' into the wee hours of the night, endeavoring to produce a reasonable facsimile of the theme of a treasured television show from his distant youth. Yes, he probably missed more than a few notes, and his sound design skills are probably not up to the task.
