For dum-dums like me, is this anything like Airwindows' Slew4 ? (though with a few more dials) - https://www.airwindows.com/slew4/

Post

Yes and no. While it sounds a bit like a slew limiter, it can do much more than Slew4 (or any slew limiter I've tried). You can use it to tame brightness, but with the Recover function you can actually make the sound brighter but still less fatiguing by smoothing the transients

Good looking! I can see a bit more of Arbiter in there than HF LIM?
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

It doesn't have anything of Arbiter or HF LIM. It also sounds very different.

Nope. This is not a brickwall limiter. This is a high frequency limiter, a crazy good one at that!!
Man, I don't want to derail this thread and be sure I'll give this plugin a test drive as soon as possible because it looks very interesting, but what is the brickwall limiter you were talking about then ? I've been waiting for it since a million years 😅
Limen is crazy good indeed and pairs fantastically with yet unreleased limiter bM and I mentionned. Please note that this limiter is still being developed / "augmented" but was supposed to be out imminently after we candidly mentioned it. I'm pretty sure the wait is worth it though.

Back to Limen, it's exceptional. Just like all OD plugins, it's immensely effective, super musical and unobtrusive, all at the same time. I've used it on several masters already, got extremely pleasant and controlled results instantly - validated by the artists - and I don't know, I feel like I hear stuff similarly as karumba.

I have HiFal, and I'm still undecided. Limen doesn't work the same, as it doesn't rely on a fixed ceiling. In that regard I'd say Limen is closer to Arbiter. Both pair remakably well btw.
