Are you guys sure this is not a hack and someone high jacked the domain or hacked his website. Is there any official info from the actual dev? If you search this tread you will see he has been MIA for 3 years now and ton's of people (in the thread) actually bought the pro version and never received any feedback, update or info nor could anyone locate the guy. If the real dev is now active, talking and updating VItal the fact that only 4 pages of comments and some of the weird screen shares on 269 is all that exist is means something is really wrong imo. Whatever, maybe I am talking to bots or missed something

nvm
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

I really doubt Vital would be integrated into the new Osmose software without any input from the dev.jrwaltb wrote: Sat May 02, 2026 7:42 pm Are you guys sure this is not a hack and someone high jacked the domain or hacked his website. And Expressive E explicitly said they collaborated with all the developers of the included presets. And by the way you don't need the the synth itself to use the presets, you need it installed and licensed only to edit the synth inside Ctrl-e, much like Arturia's Analog Lab.

Sorry the last 4 pages of this thread are very weird. "new Osmose software" I don't have any idea what that means but evidently another poster 1 page back does and it answered all his questions. It does not matter, have fun and don't bother explaining any of this to me as I don't want to waste your time.

Vital is still one of the best Wavetable Synth out there and I bought the Plus Pack to support the dev.
It has the best resynthesis method, better than every elese out there.
The only weakness is the resonance with LP HP BP and BR when the resonance goes beyond 50%, then the filter becomes a plastic/metallic character.
I am using v.1.0.8, the most stable version and I will never change this.
Many thanks to the dev for this great synthesizer.

I agree that Vital is still an excellent synth to work with. I’m one of those who would love to see a version 2.0 with many of the well-known bugs taken care of. Though I doubt that’s in the cards.
I am happy to see Matt being active, but I’m also a bit confused as to why there hasn’t been an up to date changelog. That really should be the bare minimum, in terms of communication around an update.
But more than anything, I’d really like to see Matt continue to develop the synth further. I just wouldn’t advise him to offer an updated synth engine for free.
I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that most people downloaded Vital for free, instead of using the other payment tiers when it came out. And I’ve wondered if Matt regrets that decision, or if that made any further developments simply not worth the effort.
Regardless of those potential answers, I do wish him all the best.

The change log hasn't been updated since version 1.0.5?morphex wrote: Tue May 05, 2026 12:22 am I am happy to see Matt being active, but I’m also a bit confused as to why there hasn’t been an up to date changelog. That really should be the bare minimum, in terms of communication around an update.

V1.6.4 is available, and yet can't remove the plugin from a track without crashing REAPER, unless I set it to be loaded sandboxed ("separated" or "dedicated" process)... is that so truly hard to fix?
