Good observations - modern masters often have plenty of in-phase stereo content in the low end, so flattening to mono isn't the goal. AFAIK Monofilter applies a static width envelope you define. Ancora is signal-dependent across hundreds of bands over the full spectrum - it only acts where there's actually anti-phase or excessive Side content.
The RePhase feature is unique to Ancora: it calculates the energy loss caused by phase cancellation when summing to mono and compensates for it. Try it with an off-phase sine wave (up to 120° phase difference) and sum to mono - if the level drops, no proper phase compensation is being performed.

Late to the party!
May be an idea to update the OP since the intro price isn’t available at the moment.
Was to rushed to go for it and didn’t check the post date…
Not a big problem of course, just a bit disappointing since I also could have took advantage of the Finesse license owners offer

Try LIMEN-RELEASE-PARTY (25% discount, all products) during checkout. That should still work until end of today.

I didnt have much time sadly yesterday so i bought it asap with the discout, hope i wont regret it
.
What I wanted to test is if the plugin can also narrow down a too bright/stereo'ized signal/sound?
e.g. I use sometimes Ozone 12 and its imager is for me not much of use as i dont use such things on the Master but it gives me some ideas if a track is really too wide to adjust some sounds in its wideness, so I would identify and adjust single sounds if their origin is already too wide.

That's exactly one of Ancora's intended use cases. Only the bands that exceed the width defined by your target curve get narrowed - everything below the target stays untouched. So if just a few frequency ranges are too wide, only those get pulled in, while the rest of the stereo image is preserved.

I'm very happy with this plugin. It is the best plugin of its type I believe I have now. It has become one I wouldn't want to be without now!
Just a tiny thing to mention as I think it's slightly odd... In Cubase (windows VST3) Ancora shows up under Toyko Dawn Labs > EQ, so it's next to Slick EQ GE /M and Nova GE.
Most plugins of this type are classified under 'Spatial - Panner' or less common 'Stereo'.
Not shouting about it, just thought its a little strange

Thanks for the kind words, glad Ancora's earned a spot in your chain! Good catch on the categorisation. You're right that Spatial/Panner is technically more accurate for Ancora. I'll look into it - thanks for flagging it.SV1080 wrote: Tue May 05, 2026 2:04 am I'm very happy with this plugin. It is the best plugin of its type I believe I have now.
