I wasn't even aware you can "couple" it, then again, I only use Kontakt, and still v5...EvilDragon wrote: Mon May 04, 2026 2:00 pm ...the above is also the same decoupling between internal mixer and host that you can also find in Kontakt, Falcon, HALion, as well.

I think it's more that in many other plugins with multi-outs (some drum plugins for example), there may not even be an internal mixer, so when you take a sound source and tell it "play on output number 2" that just happens directly. If that's what a user expects, the need to also route the mixer channels also may trip them up.

Yeah, but it clearly is a good thing to have both options imho.

We do have that too. In every channel's output menu in the Mixer, you have two quick adjust options on the top: All busses to main, Each bus to unique output.

Maybe... SCXT should have automation parameters for mixer parameter: As a fixed 16 part: mono, mute, Level, pan & sends would help on channel automation.

Realistically if you're using multiple outputs you can already automate that from your host. The only thing would be SCXT mixer sends...

Sure for most use cases, but not realistic. In some cases or devices users may choose or be forced to use a single stereo or in standalone mode, need to assign automation to a MIDI CC with an external control surface.EvilDragon wrote: Tue May 05, 2026 6:59 am Realistically if you're using multiple outputs you can already automate that from your host. Of course, for DAWs it's an alternative and not a must, but on standalone mode how do we control the mixer externally? I mean, MIDI control or something similar.
If there's a standalone case using a basic host that allows CC>automation, should that control be added?
It's a question.

That's fair. We'll consider it, but probably post-1.0, I reckon.

Might not be so bad. Let's look into it indeed.
