It also looks like they charge you extra now when skipping versionswhyterabbyt wrote: Tue May 05, 2026 3:07 pm Interesting that they single out four applications as 'Flagships.' Kontakt and Guitar Rig are obvious I guess, but the other two are MassiveX and Absynth6. But not Reaktor
Also looks like some sort of misinfo on the pricing for Collectors' edition... lists it as £200 cheaper to update from Ult13 than Ult14
Updates
£449.00 For owners of Komplete Collector's Edition 14
£629.00 For owners of Komplete Ultimate 13 And OlderUpgrades
£629.00 For Owners Of Komplete Ultimate 15 To 26
£809.00 For Owners Of Komplete Ultimate 14 And Older

You may have to wait quite a long time for it.luvst wrote: Tue May 05, 2026 3:30 pm I’m on the K15CE, with a special loyalty upgrade price of 399 euros to K26CE. I’ll wait until it’s 50 percent off.
Btw - NI site is a mess: got a mail from the NI, where they told my update price is € 399.
But going to the NI site/ in my NI account, it lies: ”congrats, your update price is € 699.
I own the K15CE.
Guess which one will I choose? None, not at least before the summer. (In the old time NI had the ”sound of the summer fests”).

I notice that Komplete Select (or whatever the 99 USD baby version is called) has replaced Massive X with Massive X Player.
They must be selling a lot of Massive X to be so concerned about Komplete eating into their own massive Massive profits! *wink*

I’m on Ultimate with a $299 upgrade. The big standout is Absynth, but I never gelled with the first version.
I’m also curious to see their direction. The move to 26 makes me think we’ll see annual upgrades, which is a little worrisome. More is not always better, but I’m sure there are plenty that could be excited by receiving more stuff.

For some reason I think they did that last time but can't remember which. Maybe Razor?nirm123 wrote: Tue May 05, 2026 3:01 pm for the 1st time they've being removing stuff which was already in the standard edition while the product is still active and included in ultimate and collector editions.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

I'm not entirely surprised. It makes sense that they'd do something to generate a cash infusion at this point.Sascha Franck wrote: Tue May 05, 2026 1:57 pm Who would've thought it'd happen right now?

Me pass. $300 for update from K13 to get a lot of bloatware I do not need.
Absynth 6 is the only piece I might be interested in K26.
They removed Ozone (keep the Elements, but IMO all iZotope Elements are useless crap), Claire is in Ultimate+. The Gentleman is now moved to Ultimate as well?

It's a shame what happend to NI. Few years ago it was an insta buy. Checking the "whats new for me", none of the stuff interests me at all. Upgrade price from 13 to 26 (it's double the number
) is 599€.
Well, coming soon the Netflix, from the makers of "how to sell drugs online fast" the new show "how to ruin a leading music software company fast". Watch the Trailer here.

If they are even still around then and not totally out of businessluvst wrote: Tue May 05, 2026 4:03 pm I’ve got time to wait. It’s probably not going to be 50 percent off in next month’s Summer of Sound, more likely during Black Friday or next year’s Summer of Sound.
I can't really believe that many people would spend hundreds of dollars on this even in the best of times, but in their current state of financial insolvency, and the current state of the global economy that's going to be a hard pass for many
What NI needs now more than ever is an infusion of cash, this won't get them that. It's the last gasp of a dying company that was once great

Isnt massive x player a free preset player. I dont think its something worth mentioning as an inclusion in a way as one of main selling points in Komplete SelectTracewidth wrote: Tue May 05, 2026 4:02 pm I notice that Komplete Select (or whatever the 99 USD baby version is called) has replaced Massive X with Massive X Player.
